| I'm putting together an igloodor and was looking for some cedar cigar boxes I could put inside it for better aging of my cigars. I've found five old boxes, but some of them have quite a bit of paper covering the cedar. The worst is an old Punch box with paper covering every surface except the outside bottom.
Some of that paper is keeping the top attached to the rest of the box, but I'm wondering if it's worth removing some of the paper, and if so, how? Or will it still work well enough if I condition the box by slowly raising the humidity inside for several days to a week? (And condition the outside of the box, too, by putting it in the humidified igloodor?) If anyone has been there, done that, I'd really appreciate your advice. |

| They are still cool to use. It doesn't take a ton of cedar for it to work. All the cedar is doing is acting as a humidity storage system and as a buffer for when you open the lid, KL goes dry etc. This buffer makes it so that hopefully the cedar recharges the air with humidity to keep your cigars from having to do it. So bottom line any amount is better than none! |
