Holy MOAB!

So i've been travelling some lately and not in the office where my PO Box is near.  I just got back today and checked in with the PO.  They were very happy to see me since they had been holding so many packages!  Huh?!?!?!?  They proceed to bring out 2 of those large plastic mail bins full of packages.  This caught me completely off guard.  They were joking about having to put an addition on the post office for my PO box!

As I look over the return names of these things I quickly realized that I was the victim of a very well organized and covertly planned mass bombing attack!  Al Quaida has nothing on you guys!  I have no idea what I did to prompt such mass destruction but am certainly appreciative.  I'll try to go through them all tonight and get some pictures of the carnage out and some details of the terrorists involved.

Thanks for all of you that took part in this mass bombing!

Haha.  Paul, you deserve it with all the time you put in working on the site.

Paul,  consider this bomb a big thank you from the members of Cigar Geeks for all that you do to make this site what it is...  a home away from home for us, a sanctuary for cigar smokers, and an all around great place on the web.

You do a lot of work to keep this place running, and much of it goes unseen.  THANK YOU!

Enjoy Paul!  Even though I did not participate because I pretty much sent you the best I had to offer in your wishlist, I thought it was great of Anthony to set it up.  I'm looking forward to seeing the aftermath.

Wait a minute, if it wasn't for Paul, this site wouldn't be here and I probably wouldn't have bought nearly as many sticks as I have.

Thus, Paul has cost me a lot of money.  :puncher:

I want my sticks back  ;-)

Well I finally have gone through all the packages and I can say that I am truly amazed at the generosity of our members.  I can't say enough how much I appreciate the level of effort it takes to coordinate such a bomb and the willingness of folks to give up so many cigars.  It really highlights how the members of the site go above and beyond the quality and integrity of the other sites out there.  Assuming I counted correctly, the total count comes in at 86 cigars form 15 bombers.  Amazing!  This many cigars could keep me busy for quite awhile.

Along the lines of the generosity of the Cigar Geeks members, i'd like to ask/propose something of you folks - to continue to pay it forward to a well deserved group of folks.  I have a good buddy of mine who was recently deployed to Afghanistan.  This is at least the 3rd or 4th time he has been sent over there. He is leaving behind a wonderful wife and now 2 lovely young children.  As you know Afghanistan is not the place to be right now, and I think I speak for many of our members when I say that I truly appreciate the sacrifice that he and folks like him make in commiting to go over there to defend our freedom.

He and I have enjoyed cigars together in the past and he has told me how much guys over there appreciate quality of life things from home like cigars.  So if there are no objections, i'd like to propose forwarding a large majority of these cigars over to him and his brothers to enjoy.  I completely understand if anyone has issue with this and please PM me letting me know if you do.

Anyways without further adieu, here is some cigar porn from the devistating bomb that hit here in MD.

Thanks again for your generosity!

Great haul, Paul!  Looks some brothers definitely hooked you up!

It would be very generous of you to pass some of them along to the troops, I would certainly not mind at all.

Nice looking bunch of cigars, Larry!  In reference to your proposal, if anyone has never seen the movie "Pay it Forward" it is well worth watching, and the story line is awesome.  I have no objections at all in sending some cigars for the troops, I once wore combat boots, for about 20 years to be exact.  The brothers in uniform will appreciate it!

That is an awesome sight! And for you to pass them on the the troops just proves why you got the bomb in the first place.

Enjoy the ones you keep and pass on my blessings with those you send to the troops

Paul, I think thats a wonderful idea to send some over to our troops.

I am all for taking care of the troops--I don't think there are many of us here on this site that don't have a connection to the military in some way. For me personally, my dad was in the Air Force and I was a civilian contractor to the Navy for a while.

That being said, you should really try the Kinky Friedman if you've never had one. Oh, and the Blue Agave I sent you is a flavored cigar (by Finck's and actually made right here in San Antonio) that gets it's flavor from agave plant syrup--you should probably send that one!

Also, Paul, I've noticed that occasionally a "MrsPablo" shows up as online. Is this really Mrs. Senor Pablo???  :?:

I think that sharing them with our soldiers is a great idea.  They are doing a tough job in an even tougher place.  I wish you friend and all of his fellow troops good luck, and I hope they stay safe and get out of that hell-hole as quickly as possible.

WOW. That is a lot of destruction!!!  :-0  Being a Soldier myself I can guarantee you that they would thoroughly enjoy the cigars. It's something that is usually not sent in care packages and for most soldiers a novelty item for those that don't smoke regularly. :bigthumbs:
