Fine smoke before surgery

I'm smoking a Padron Traditional 4000 this evening because tomorrow 02/22 I go in for a full hip replacement (anterior method). I'm pretty nervous right now, so I figured a Padron would put me at ease. So far it's working! The first inch was a spicy pepper blast, but it soon settled into a very fine smoke. I'm into the second third now and it's just getting better and better, much like I hope the new hip will be for my overall well-being. My birthday is on Wednesday and I must say it's a helluva birthday present I'm getting! I intend on smoking my last Padron 1926 as soon as I return home, God-willing before or on my actual birthday. Peace and good health to all, and hallelujah for modern medicine!

I'll keep you in my prayers Christopher! My old man got bucked off a horse a few years back and busted his pelvis in 4 places, all around the ball and socket joint on one side. It was amazing how fast they had him up and walking and that was a disaster! He had a knee replacement about a month ago now, and they had him up walking that day. It's amazing how good the replacements have gotten, and how fast you are back in action. Just be sure to keep on top of your physical therapy brother!

I am not concerned about what you think as I can tell you don't do it often.

Good luck on the surgery and recovery

Thanks for well wishes, folks! Your kind thoughts and prayers really mean a lot. Amazingly, I'm back home now, so look for the new smoke-of-the-day thread! I understand now how vitally important physical therapy is, so thanks to those who reminded me. I also know it's something you can't rush, either.
