These folks really have no clue about customer service.  They really don't.  The only thing they have going for them is price.  Since mid-April, I have placed ten orders with them.  Out of those ten orders, they have managed to fill only seven.  And they have only notified me of one of the back-orders; the other two, I had to inquire about.

This last one really pissed me off.  On 07/19, I ordered a couple of fivers of DPG Cuban Classic Robustos meant to be a gift for my son Ben who was in town this past weekend 07/30-31.  I was sure they'd get here in time, as my card was debited on 07/20.  The cigars were a "no show".  I finally "chatted" with a Tim R at Cigar Page today.  "Oh, we never received those cigars."  

Look, I've worked at a myriad of jobs in my 30+ years in the workforce, including several in sales and a couple in warehouse/inventory management.  Inventory accuracy isn't that hard, especially in this age of bar-code scanners and whatnot.  It's even easier to contact the customer and apologize via email than to sit on your ass and wait for the customer to complain.

The stupid thing with that is we all know they're just another subsidiary of CI, how are you not able to get your hands on a cigar like that?  I've only had one backorder with them and they eventually came through, but it did take a good 4-6 weeks.

And honestly, their prices are still good but they're not like they were 6 months ago, they're creeping up.

The price was stupid low at $4/stick.  And are they really affiliated with CI?  I know they are in league with Field Supply...

CI, CBid, and Cigar Page all fly the same flag. Same company, different name and methodology.  And yes, I've too noticed that Cigar Page's deals aren't of the same caliber that they were even 6 months ago. Back then you could get silly low prices on good sticks. Recently they they are selling okay sticks for like 25% off and passing it off as the deal of the century. Haven't bought from them in like 2 months. Better deals possible via CBid.

They in fact are NOT part of CI, they are actually people that used to be with CI and are on their own and are working with Field Supply.
(that is the story I have heard anyway)

I thought I had noticed that orders from there came from the same warehouse as CI, cigar.com, and cbid, but maybe I'm wrong on that...

Have had no issues myself, but I was getting the feeling that their deals have gotten less spectacular of late. Glad it's not just me. Sorry to hear about the crap, Dave.

Dave, that's why forums like these are great so geeks can post their experiences with various online shops. Not everyone has the same experience but it's good to share. But in any case seven out of 10 is not good

I've had one back order that I cancelled immediately. Other than that, they've been pretty solid. In the grand scheme of things, its hard to get mad at cigar challenges when they arise...

Let's not jump to conclusions. They're a solid six out of six for me, with nary a backorder or complication, and very fast shipping. Dave's really gotten a raw deal, but my general sense is that he's the exception rather than the rule.

As previously stated, i believe their deals aren't exactly what they used to be.  However, i have never had an issue with an order in the 4 or 5 times I've done business with them. Just my $0.02
