What should I do with this?

So I've been wanting to explore the non-cheapo Padilla blends since I really like their reserva line, scored a nice deal on the vintage reserve, came today and to my surprise the cello wrap on the box is sharpie signed by senor Padilla himself it appears.  Anyone seen something like this before?  Thinking I'll carefully unwrap the box and save the cello in the empty box for now.  Any other bright ideas?  Or is this really no big deal?

HEY Brother, It's yours so whatever you want to do with it, well, we all support that - but I would check it out before opening it up - just in case it does turn out to be worth something.

For Me: I like collecting wooden boxes - many uses. I would probable carefully remove wrapping - cut it down and eventually laminate it free standing or laminate it onto something like a place mat made out of cigar labels ETC. Then it would find a place somewhere in my collections or displays of cigar related items - conversation piece I guess. If nothing else, the laminated card version could rest in the box itself on a shelf or on the cigar table with trinkets and high dollar lighters on display.....JMHO.

Good luck my friend.

I thought of that possibility.  There is an L missing, asking CI if this is normal for this box.  2017 is a little fishy as well as I believe these were made before that.

Very interesting! I don't know how you'd go about it, but check it out! It may be very unique!

Interesting, and cool if real.  Check out the signed boxes here http://www.cigarliberty.com/padilla-invictus

His signature seems to vary, I guess as most would

Good link Chuck, one of those does look close, just weird that the cello was signed and not the actual box.

The couple boxes I have signed had the cello removed first and signed directly on the box...but I also got them signed in person. Pretty cool though.

Very cool!  I'd be breaking out the x-acto knives and cutting along the lid to make sure not to damage the cellophane. Hate that is wasn't on the box itself.  Maybe you could cut it down and seal it to the box.

Just could be he was visiting CI and they pulled some already sealed boxes for him to sign and didn't want to remove it.

Buy another box and see if that one is signed as well.

I think my 2014 Avo LE box is signed. Personally, I don't care about it. Probably could have had Pete sign my last Tat purchases but it's NBD for me.

I have some signed boxes from AVO, but it wasn't on cello. Now that he has passed, I figure I will hang on to them even when all of the cigars have been smoked.
