The Cigar: Foundation Cigar Co. The Tabernacle Havana Seed CT No. 142 Toro

The Specs:
Wrapper: Connecticut (Havana Seed CT #142)
Binder: Mexican
Filler: Hondurus and Nicaragua
Country of Origin: Nicaragua
Strength: Medium-Full
Size: 6" x 52

Due Date: October 25, 2020

The Hype: As the name of this cigar would suggest, the wrapper is Havana Seed CT #142, a variation of a Cuban-seed tobacco grown in Connecticut. Much of the rest of the line is shared with the original Tabernacle: the same filler components and the same four sizes. That means a Mexican San Andrés binder over a blend of Honduran and Nicaraguan fillers, though Nicholas Melillo has said there is less Honduran tobacco than the original line.

Reviewers:
We're looking for the following volunteers initially: Veteran status or higher that did not do a Member Geek Critique review for October. Shipping CONUS only. If you are interested, please indicate so in the forum below and Byron will select the reviewers from the volunteers.

The Chosen Reviewers:
1. Murphy223
2. nirab
3. Headfirst
4. ninfiction
5. tuck0411

Note: A reviewer who posts their review late will receive neutral feedback. A reviewer who does not post at all will receive negative feedback. There are always exceptions to the rule and a reasonable excuse for tardiness or a no show will be respected and thus not counted against the reviewer. Our sponsoring members and our administrators make the choice of who is to participate in any particular Geek Critique and can be better informed of their choices with this initiative in place.

Thanks again to Byron for providing the cigar. And thank you to the reviewers.

I haven't done one yet this year and this one has me curious, I'm game if you'll have me.

I'm in, if needed.  Just reviewed and enjoyed the original blend, so this would be an interesting contrast.  :smoker2:

I'm going to voluntarily step out of this one.  It seems pretty clear to me, at least, that Ryan wanted in and he was ahead of me, so I'm out.  Thanks for the consideration, but this is the right thing to do.

Todd in all fairness to you, Adwinistrator didn't really say that he would like to do the review. he stated that it was a "Great cigar to review" but didn't really say that he wanted in. That is why I sent him a text message on the the 19th. He as not responded, just saying.

I've seen Ryan on the site a couple of times over the past few days, and he hasn't spoken up here, so I'm assuming that its not an issue.  If it is, he should speak up now.

Alright, I'll go with whatever's decided and hopefully Ryan will speak up one way or the other.  I'm perfectly willing to sit this one out if he wants in.  Not like I don't have any shortage of other sticks to review...  :smoker2:
