Forgive me if it's been posted alreay...I looked and didn't see any.
BUT! Does anyone here run any newbie sample trades?
Thanks a bunch!

When you say newbie sampler trade, what do you mean?

FOG's creating a sampler of Cigars for newbs and trading them for money/goods
The way I've seen it done before is:
FOG accepts newb for trade
Newb makes a deal with FOG agreeing on an amount between $50-$100
Newb Sends FOG money through paypal
FOG sends Newb a neat little package with some good smokes in it
Newb tries cigars that they may not have tried before thanks to wisdom and expertise of FOG

You may be thinking of the NOOB TRADE on the CBID Forums.
Check there.

I might be interested in doing something like this.

I'll do what I will and I'll drink what I please
I'll smoke what I like 'till I cough and I wheeze
I'll drink and I'll whore and every pleasure realize
For this time tomorrow I may die

I've seen it on other forums (CBID) and always thought it was a good idea.

OK, we are going to put this idea through a test run.  Levi is going to buy a sampler from me, 20 cigars that give a newer smoker some interesting things to try.

This is a great idea, let us know how it goes!

Yeah, that's a great idea.  I'm very interested in hearing how it turns out.
"Sometimes when I reflect back on all the beer I drink I feel ashamed - Then I look into the glass and think about the workers in the brewery and all of their hopes and dreams. If I didn't drink this beer, they might be out of work and their dreams would be shattered. Then I say to myself, 'It is better that I drink this beer and let their dreams come true than be selfish and worry about my liver.'" -Jack Handy

That is a cool idea!  :-)

Levi sent me payment.  His sampler (20 sticks) will go out this week.

I've already seen a taste of what's coming my way and I'm very excited. This would be an awesome resource if a bunch of fogs decided they wanted to sponsor a newb. The fog and newb could make cost arrangements and the newb would get a great sampler. Thanks a bunch jackal I think this worked out wonderfully!!

I couldn't stringify what a FOG was, so I looked it up. Here is a site with a definition: http://www.cigarbbguide.com/NEWBIE~1/Protocol.html

Here is another example of what I've seen in the past - the newbie finds/sends a few hard to find cigars, and the FOG returns fire with a nice sampler.

At any rate, I'd be willing to sponsor a newbie if anyone is interested.

I would like to be someone's newb.  If I still qualify.  Only been smoking about 3 months.  Less than 75 total cigars probably with a variety of  only about 35-40 different kinds.  These are certainly estimates but not too far off.
