I'd heard of Smoke Inn (http://www.smokeinn.com), but I'd never ordered from them, primarily I suppose because they're in FL and I get hit with sales tax.  Last Friday night, I pulled the trigger on their "Hot Weekly Deal", the "Twelve Angry Men" sampler for $29.95:

3- Nestor Miranda Art Deco Coffee Break 4x50
2- H. Upmann Cameroon Toro 6x52
3- Montecristo Classic Churchills 7x52
4- Bolivar Churchill 7x49

The total came to $40.70 (1.80/tax and 8.95/s&h).  I thought the shipping a bit high, but the total was still less than $4/stick so I went ahead with the order.  The package arrived today.  The sticks were divided between two humi bags with a Humidipak in each bag and packed in the box with Styrofoam peanuts.  On top was a hand written note:

"David,

Thank you so much for your order.  Here at the Smoke Inn we really appreciate your & customer service is our #1 priority.  Please enjoy the cigars.

Michael (I couldn't make out the last name)
General Manager"

Regardless of the shipping cost and tax, these folks have found a new customer.

they sound cool

Wow, very cool.  You don't see that kind of personal touch much these days.  Hopefully I can find some room in the budget to support them as well.
"Sometimes when I reflect back on all the beer I drink I feel ashamed - Then I look into the glass and think about the workers in the brewery and all of their hopes and dreams. If I didn't drink this beer, they might be out of work and their dreams would be shattered. Then I say to myself, 'It is better that I drink this beer and let their dreams come true than be selfish and worry about my liver.'" -Jack Handy

Definitely a nice touch.  I'll keep them on my vendor list...

That's still a great deal, Dave.  They run some really good specials that take the pain out of the higher S+H cost.

I have been a fan of Ming and his crew at Smoke Inn since last October.  Here's what I reported to ya'll back then:

I remembered that vaguely when I placed my order.  I shot them an email about an hour ago saying I would recommend them to the rest of the Geeks, but dammit, you beat me to another one! :shades:

I'm glad you had a great experience and shared it.  Lots of new guys here now that might not have seen that.  This is the kind of retailer we need to support to make sure he stays in business.  A great alternative to the big shops out of PA.

Smoke Inn's owner looks a bit scary, but the few of my friends who've dealt with them have been pleased.  I've a sense of their love for cigars and their awesome interest in pleasing BOTL's.

I pulled the trigger on the "Super Bowl Shuffle" back in late Jan.
30 sticks and a Humi.

I too, got a hand written letter from Ming. I thought that was classy.

The cigars are great and the humi is doing a great job.

I'm on their mailing list and plan to buy from them when the iron is hot.

Stay tuned.

Very nice touch with the personal note. Sounds like they are very big on customer service. I'll have to check out the site.

Wow! that note was a very nice touch.
But I really liked the name "Wish Stealer". It had a Native American ring to it. -Brlesq

A wise geek once told me that moving up from a daily smoke to a weekly or even bi-monthly smoke would be worth it, if I could learn how to appreciate a really really good cigar. -southernrun
