Anyone know when this occured? Or the rules govening it? I read their shipping policy page, it still says $8.95 flat rate. I tried looking for a CG thread on this, but the search forums engine has thrown a rod.

Got an abbreviated JR catalog a week or so ago.  JR has a promotion for the month of July offering 99 cents shipping:

"For the entire month of July, All J*R Customers can ship ANY number of single cigars, ANY number of 5-packs, ANY number of boxes or bundles for JUST 99 Cents! ($20 minimum order)"

I'm thinking of restocking some Honduran Consuegras ($5 off all bundles of 25) $27 to $45, depending on size.

Also a great chance to sample some singles or 5-packs too

Just pulled the trigger on the Honduran Consuegras (maduros) for $30 delivered.  Never tried them; however, looking forward to them from the reviews here...

The maduros of the #30 are quite good, I doubt you'll be disappointed.

The maduros of the #9 Rothschild (Punch/HdM) and #16 (HdM Governor) are my favorites.  I also like the EMS Principale #73 (JR Ultimate) though it requires a few months or more rest -- luckily, my last bundle had deep yellow plastic and cellos so they were ready to smoke   ;-)

Nice cigars but for 30 bucks wheren is the shipping from?

The cigars Mike ordered are $30, plus 99 cents for shipping.

J*R Cigars ships orders from their warehouse in Burlington, North Carolina.

Based on the reviews here on CG I decided to order a bundle of the ROBUSTO #30's, the PRINCIPALE #73's & the GOVERNOR #16's.....

With as many cigars as I give away to friends & acquaintences I just couldn't pass up 75 cigars for less than $96....   :shades:

I am tempted by the Consuegras too. Have also been looking at the cask aged (buy one, get one half price). The RyJ Habana Reserve that Bob and I split last year are pretty good, especially with a few months rest.

I know how they are making up for the .99 shipping.

Was just looking at the daily dutch auctions and the CASK AGED BARRELS BOLIVAR COFRADIA
that usually have an auction price of $42.00 - $44.00 are now listed at $52.94.

I kept thinking all the dutch auction prices seemed higher than normal, but now I realized that
is where they are covering their .99 cent "DEAL".

I wonder if clouds ever look down on us and say:  Hey look.  That one is shaped like an idiot!"
