A while back, 24 June 11 to be exact, we were discussing what to do with ISOM's in passes. Thread here for your convenience: http://www.cigargeeks.com/index.php?topic=9513.0

In that thread I innocently made the following comment:

"My approach is to look at the ISOM like my coon dog looks at a biscuit, whimper softly, then dry my tears and send the pass on with the ISOM still in it."

Well, doggone if a few days later I didn't get a box from someplace out in CA from a guy named Dennis. You might theorize what was in the box and you would be right about the theoretical implications thereof. A picture is attached for your perusal and approval. I theorized that, 1) Given a stick with ideal humidity characteristics and 2) a source of ignition, then 3) it is theoretically possible that ignition would occur and smoke would be produced. I was right. The Bolivar supported my hypothesis in fine fashion. I'm sure the other three will do the same.

Although I have expressed my appreciation to Dennis via PM I have been slack in posting pictures. I'll offer the weak excuse that right after I got the sticks I headed up to Camp Perry and when I got back the grandkids came for a visit. However, I have now remedied my sloth and here is the picture. They are nestled snugly up against another pride and joy, a first generation SIG P220 I lovingly restored from its sad state when I bought it.

Since the Bolivar is gone up in smoke I substituted a stunt double in case you didn't notice.

Well done Ken! And a big well done to Dennis!

He also sent a biscuit to Gracie, my coondog. I think I liked my treat better than she liked hers but it was hard to tell since we both slobbered quite a bit.

Wow, that's great! The P220 is one of the most reliable weapons out there, and an early number is a treasure for sure. Very nice!

Oh.

We were supposed to talk about the cigars.

I am sure I'm jealous. But it's been so long since I left the North Country where such euphemisms and hypotheticals like twinkles and jewels on the North Pole are allowed to find a spark ...

Well done Dennis. Them's some mighty fine gifts to a mighty fine BOTL.

Nothing like fine guns and fine cigars. I also have a first generation West German made SIG P226 as a companion piece. Both shoot extremely well. One or the other is my usual carry gun.
