Being that Armin (kola) has stepped up to sponsor August's Geek Critique, we're putting the show on the road asap.

The cigar to be reviewed is La Sirena, the latest blend by DPG: Don Pepin has used Nicaraguan Criollo '98 & Nicaraguan Corojo '96 as filler, plus a dual Nicaraguan Habano & Nicaraguan Corojo binder, rolled in a Connecticut Broadleaf Maduro wrapper.

Vitolas:  Sea Sprite – 5.5 x 42; The Prince – 5 x 50; Divine – 5.5 x 52 (figurado); King Poseidon – 6 x 60 and Trident – 7 x 50

We will take the first 5 reviewers to respond to the following criteria:

- must have been a member for LESS than one year
- must have submitted more than 5 standard cigar reviews
- must hold "regular" participant status on the forums
- must not have participated in a Geek Critique in the last 2 months

When accepting this invitation, please keep in mind that the cigar must be smoked and reviewed by no later than July 26th.

Again, a big thanks goes out to Armin (kola) for sponsoring this Geek Critique. THANKS ARMIN!

Good idea! The new guys need to start pulling their weight around here. C'mon boys, step up and give it a try. It doesn't hurt a bit!

The La Sirena is a good stick so this will be a pleasurable review.

I am not concerned about what you think as I can tell you don't do it often.

I actually meet all of junglepete's requirements.  Too bad I go to church on Sundays and don't get up by 5:30 in the morning.  You know the saying, you snooze you lose.

Enjoy the critique guys.

Just to keep everyone informed, Herb has disqualified himself as a reviewer because he overlooked the less than one year criteria. Thanks for being honest Herb, I overlooked it as well. Shukpaw is the next in line and has accepted to step in.

Hey guys, are ya ready!?!

The packages are on their way and should arrive next week.

Give those beauties a little time in the humidor so they are in peak condition for your critique.  I am looking forward to reading about your experiences with this cigar.  Instructions and the submission deadline will follow.
