This cigar was enjoyed with Coffee

Pre-Light: 17 Points of 20 Possible

The Pa Broadleaf wrapper is dark, almost black.  Upon closer inspection there are some fine veins running through this cigar but overall it looks pretty nice.  The smell was excellent and it had a nice sweet flavor on the cold draw.

Light & Burn: 10 Points of 15 Possible

This cigar lost points here for canoeing around the halfway point.  I tried to fix without taking fire to it but it got too far out of control and I had to correct it with my torch.  The ash was on the flakier side.  The cigar produced a good amount of smoke.

Construction: 25 Points of 30 Possible

The cigar cut cleanly and held together well.  It was well packed with no soft spots.  The draw was perfect.  The cigar held together throughout the smoke.  There was no indication pre-light that I might run into any issues.  Besides the canoeing issue I had no other real problem with the construction.

Flavor: 30 Points of 35 Possible

The first inch of this cigar opened with some sweet chocolate notes.  There was also a light smoked wood quality that was present in the background.  These flavors were consistent through the first half of the smoke.  At around the halfway point, some pepper was added to the mix of flavors.  It made the cigar more interesting and was a nice evolution of the flavor.  The cigar was smooth with no harshness or bitterness.  In the last couple inches, right around the middle of the band, the cigar burned hot and the flavors were lost but it had already given me an hour and fifteen minutes of enjoyment.

Summary

The flavors in this cigar were very good and the cigar was smooth all the way down to the last couple inches.  The flavors were pretty intense and enjoyable.  The cigar would have scored higher if the burn was more even but I would recommend this smoke for those who haven't tried it.
