Mellow greetings, fellow cigar geeks!
I'm James, originally from Ohio, currently in Laurel, Maryland. I was pretty active in cigars during my undergrad days (2001-2005), but I haven't enjoyed many since then. As my wife observed, I seem to like buying them more than I like smoking them. Well, I keep buying them because I DO like smoking them. Now that we have a nice outdoor space at our house, I'm going to try to get out and enjoy some "me time" with a cigar more often.
I bought a new humidor -- my first decent one -- and a few new sticks to put in it. I rounded up as many of the cigars I've bought and not smoked over too many years with no storage other than a ziplock bag from the shop (a depressing number). Those that I hoped could be rehabilitated (hope springs eternal) went into the humidor, and those that weren't worth it or had broken down too much are heading out unburnt.
So, thank you all in advance for your hospitality on this site!

Yeah, this isn't my first hobby where community encourages hoarding. I just hope my humidor is cheaper to keep full than my gun safe! :smoker2: :shotgun:
Glad to have you join us!

Welcome to the group James. My cigars are definitely not as expensive as my guns, but I can tell you one thing for sure. Both hobbies follow the same credo, you can never have enough.

100% agree!
Welcome to the site James! I played tennis with a guy in high school named James Hamilton. He had to have a heart transplant right after high school. A couple years ago now, he was needing another one, and never got one. He had them pull the plug on the machine on him at high noon. He said it was like going out in an old western gunfight at high noon!
