"Todos Las Dias is my personal Spanglish translation meaning "All the Days." The workers at Joya de Nicaraguan often cringe at my casual butchering of their mother tongue, but in my opinion cigars are far more than a grammar lesson to abide, they are the physical manifestation of a feeling and of an experience. TLD embodies the classic bold flavors that represent the heart of their soil's peppery tobaccos and the labor of their always working hands. For me, this spicy Nicaraguan puro reflects no pretentious airs or any of that "notes of pencil lead with a hint of fennel" nonsense. It is an honest, hardworking cigar intended to be smoked by men who know what it means to be a cigar smoker and never give a damn about what others think."
- Steve Saka, creator of Dunbarton Tobacco & Trust

Todos Las Dias is the strongest cigar to date from Dunbarton, using a high-priming, Nicaraguan puro blend that showcases Jalapa and Estelíano tobaccos in the filler, a Nicaraguan binder, and a Cuban-seed, Nicaraguan wrapper. This blend has been specially chosen to highlight the fiery, bold qualities of Nicaragua's intense, volcanic soil. And Steve has specifically blended TLD to begin on the mellow side—slowly ramping up to the Nicaraguan powerhouse experience that diehard, experienced smokers crave! This is the complete reversal from the usual blending style of starting with a bang before mellowing in the later portions of the smoke.

This cigar was enjoyed with Red Stripe and water

Pre-Light: 20 Points of 10 Possible

Perfectly presented. The bands look great and are applied expertly. I pick up on a nice leathery aroma on the outer wrapper. Cold draw brings cocoa and tobacco taste to my palate. The wrapper leaf has light vein structure to it as well as an even color. Expertly rolled no doubt. I find the the smoke to have a pleasant aroma and I don't think it would be offensive to others.

Lighting and Burn: 12 Points of 15 Possible

Lit up easily and has maintained an even burn throughout. I'm not getting as much smoke as I would like from the draws I'm taking. I let it sit a few times to slow down and let it cool. The presence of smoke is almost non existent as it sits. The ash is a beautiful light grey/white and stacks perfectly. Ash taps off easily with no flaking. Smoke production pick up in final third. Tapped ash twice and left final ash on cigar upon finishing.

Construction: 29 Points of 30 Possible

I used a straight cut just at the cap and has a good tug to it, a little unsatisfied the amount of smoke from the draw. The cigar doesn't warp at the burn line and seems to be filled well. Nearly seamless construction. It's definitely a sturdy cigar and holds its shape well. The tobacco at the head stays in the cigar where it's supposed to.

Flavor and Aroma: 31 Points of 45 Possible

I can tell this cigar has some strength to it from the beginning. No problem pairing this with a lager, the cigar easily overpowers the beer. Leather is the big player in the first third. The strength seems to settle down. There's a mild sweetness I pick up through the retrohale and a touch of white pepper. A bit earthy at times. The taste doesn't linger too much between puffs. Final third shines as the flavors pick back up.

I was expecting a more dynamic flavor profile. I really enjoyed what the first third brought to the table. The last inch or so was nice as well with the sweet leathery taste. It's definitely a looker, caught my eye soon as it arrived. An exceptional burn and construction lands this cigar an A rating.
