Welcome to a Geek Critique of a cigar generously provided to us by our friends at https://jassumkral.com/" target="_blank">Jas Sum Kral.  https://jassumkral.com/" target="_blank">https://jassumkral.com/  After a bit of teasing, the company says that it will sell a new line of cigars called http://www.cigargeeks.com/cigardb/default.asp?action=showcig&cigar_id=191768">"!@#%$ (or F) the FDA" at the upcoming Tobacco Plus Expo (TPE) 2020. Since this cigar is a pre-release, Riste Ristevski, the company's owner, declined to answer questions about further details surrounding the cigar, instead he replied with a band that displayed the brand's name along with a background comprised of middle fingers.  Special thanks goes out to Riste for providing the sticks and bstessl (Brian) for coordinating this!

Pre-Light: 9 Points of 10 Possible

This cigar has a very nice look to it and the construction is nearly flawless.  The dark wrapper was very smooth with a minimal number of veins and just the slightest bit of an oily sheen that indicated a high quality, well aged tobacco used.  The triple cap was well made with only a very slight flaw, which did not have an effect on the cut or the smoke.  Overall, in line with the other qualities, the stick was a bit firm with no soft spots and a very consistent shape.  The aroma of the cigar was heavy with hay, barn yard and raisin with a hint of spice.

Lighting and Burn: 13 Points of 15 Possible

The burn was nearly flawless on this cigar, needing no touch-ups or baby sitting at all which is a relief to your everyday smoke.  The ash was really solid and burned to almost 2-1/2 inches before falling and was a light salt and pepper color.  The burn rate was slow and cool but provided a very ample amount of smoke with every draw.

Construction: 29 Points of 30 Possible

The construction of the cigar was almost flawless with one minor blemish in the triple cap which did not have an effect on the cut nor the wrapper during the smoke.  The stick as a whole was well constructed with no discernible soft spots and a very consistent diameter/gauge and the highest quality of leaf used for the wrapper.

Flavor and Aroma: 40 Points of 45 Possible

During the initial lighting there were flavors of cedar, hay and honey accompanied by just the slightest amount of cracked black pepper and nice amounts of smooth creaminess.  During both the 1st and 2nd thirds of this cigar, you would not get much change in these initial flavors with the exception that you would experience an almost graham cracker like overtone and sweetness.  This consistency is not to take anything away from the smoke since it was super smooth and was almost sublime from the beginning.  The final third was much of the same however it didn't seem as monotonous as the pepper came through along with a nice saltiness.  The only criticism is the lack of tons of changes in the flavor profile for about half of the cigar but sometimes that is a good thing as too much can be overwhelming.

Summary

A special thanks to bstessl for including me on this review along with Riste from JSK for supplying another great cigar for this review and to the industry.  This cigar is a very solid medium smoke that is extremely well constructed and would hold up again any Opus or Padron in the construction category.  The tasty nature of this cigar is very intriguing and for my money, would be very box worthy.  The silky and creamy smoke is something that is worth experiencing without a hint of bitterness and really is reminiscent of cigars that have been aged for 5+ years.  This is another A rated cigar that this reviewer would recommend to anyone.
