This cigar was enjoyed with Water and some Glenlivet Caribbean Reserve

Pre-Light: 9 Points of 10 Possible

The wrapper is very veiny and shiny without being oily.  The roller did a great job with filing the stick without overstuffing the stick, firm.  Wrapper has a nice leather smell with a a bit of mustiness/hay.

Lighting and Burn: 13 Points of 15 Possible

Upon lighting and the first draw, a creaminess is present and a slight pepper with a citrus taste.  Good smoke volume.  Had to relight due to me setting it down early on to get the door, but the relight didnt seem to hurt it.  Burn is not razer straight, a bit wavy.  Had to do a touchup early to correct the burn.  Smoke output continues to be very good and burn continues being wavy heading into the second third.  Final third the burn was razor straight.

Construction: 24 Points of 30 Possible

Very attractive stick, great band and gold foil wrapper sleeve.  Very nice pigtail cap. Firmly packed stick and has a medium draw once cut. Unlit draw give soft sweetness.  Slight hint of pepper also at the foot.  The roll was firm and the cigar appears very well made.  Draw has a nice resistance and I don't envision it needing any assistance. Draw continues to be snug heading into the second third.  Ash was a bit flaky, ash holds on for an inch or a bit more.  Burn continued to be wavy, with a slight touchup needed. Final third the burn corrected itself finally, but otherwise the construction was not impacted by the wavy burn.

Flavor and Aroma: 40 Points of 45 Possible

First puff on lighting up is creamy sweetness and has a hint of pepper with a cedar undertone, also a bit of nuttiness on releasing the smoke.  Medium body right off the bat with a full flavor.  Very smooth flavor and long lingering taste.  Retrohale reveals more pepper and nutty flavors almost like a toasted peanut and a hint of bread.

Second third continues the slight creamy sweetness with a nutiness.  Strength continues to be medium bodied and full flavor.  Slight astrigent quality started in the second part also with a hint of salt. The wood becomes more oaky and black coffee comes to the forefront.

The last third, the flavors continued to be the same, full flavor and medium bodied.

Summary

Overall a very enjoyable cigar from Aganorsa with a very lovely flavor profile (pepper, coffee, wood, and a slight sweetness).  This is only my third stick from Aganorsa and one that I will be getting more of in the future.
