The Hype: Keeping in line with the rest of the Lost & Found cigars, these are vintage sticks that Robert Caldwell "discovered" in his travels and re-branded for limited release. The original Pepper Cream Soda was released in 2014 as a Robusto. This Corona Gordo, hailing from the original Robusto 2006 variety, is limited to 3,200 cigars.

This cigar was enjoyed with Nothing

Pre-Light: 10 Points of 10 Possible

The oily wrapper contained a couple of prominent veins. It was solid to the touch, showing no soft spots. I detected the aroma of hay while the taste was that of cocoa. The well-applied cap was easily removed by a straight cut.

Lighting and Burn: 12 Points of 15 Possible

The burn, a little on the quick side, was perfect, never wandering offline. No relights were required.
The ash was a bit leafy so it was knocked off every inch or so. It never caused a problem. The smoke output was generous.

Construction: 26 Points of 30 Possible

My only complaint is that the draw was tighter than I would prefer. I poked about with a toothpick but it didn't help. The wrapper burned straight the entire smoke. No relights were necessary. The cap stayed solid all the way to the final puff.

Flavor and Aroma: 30 Points of 45 Possible

The cigar started off with tastes of cocoa and coffee. A touch of pepper was felt on the retrohale, but quickly vanished never to return. Lemon soon came into play followed by vanilla which left a pleasant aftertaste on my tongue. The strength to this point was mild.

The second third introduced citrus followed by the return of  vanilla. The strength remained mild.

The taste turned creamy in the final third before cocoa appeared. The stick remained mild to the end.

Summary

I can see why some may be bored by this cigar. The sweet and creamy flavors were pleasant but lacked intensity. The addition of some spice would have been welcome. My thanks to Kent for the opportunity to sample this stick.
