The Hype: Keeping in line with the rest of the Lost & Found cigars, these are vintage sticks that Robert Caldwell "discovered" in his travels and re-branded for limited release. The original Pepper Cream Soda was released in 2014 as a Robusto. This Corona Gordo, hailing from the original Robusto 2006 variety, is limited to 3,200 cigars.

Pre-Light: 8 Points of 10 Possible

Cigar looked great. Nice and smooth, no large veins to speak of, cap applied nicely. Was rolled well, had a nice firm feeling in your hand. Cut clean and didn't damage the cap or unravel, which can be annoying to me sometimes

Lighting and Burn: 12 Points of 15 Possible

Cigars burn nicely, wasn't a razor sharp burn, a little wavy but it didn't cause any issues with the burn. Lit it nicely as well, only required 1 small touch up about 3/4 through smoking, but other then that burn was good. Smoke volume was acceptable, not great but not horrible. Ash was nice and thick, held on nicely, it was well put together.

Construction: 25 Points of 30 Possible

Cigar burn was good, but the draw was a little tight for me. It took a little more effort to smoke then I like. Again otherwise the cigar was rolled nicely, it felt good to smoke, didn't tunnel, or have anything crazy happen. The wrapper was nicely chosen and complimented the cigar well.

Flavor and Aroma: 40 Points of 45 Possible

Cigar was perfectly named, it was a smooth smoking cigar with a pepper spice to it. Not my personal flavor profile, but it did live up to its name in my opinion and it wasn't overpowering by any rate, just not something I prefer when smoking. Flavors were good, I'm sure if you like a smooth cigar with a little spice then you would really enjoy this cigar, it had a nice compliment to each other and was a solid stick. It was a medium strength stick in my opinion, and that stayed fairly consistent throughout, I was a little surprised as I tend to smoke a little faster and cigars typically increase in strength closer towards the label but stick stayed consistent throughout. I picked up some nutty flavors along with the spice & pepper that complimented each other nicely, this also stayed fairly consistent for me, and didn't transition very much. What was there was a very solid cigar if this is up your alley you'd really enjoy it. Label was a nice bright color and easy to read with a little design on it, fairly simple compared to some of the large embossed designs you see today.

Summary

Thanks again to Kent and Cigar Geeks for the opportunity to participate in this critique. Overall the cigar was a super solid stick, I've enjoyed most of the Lost & Found cigars I have smoked and I enjoyed this cigar as well. It was well made and smoked great, it just wasn't in my personal flavor profile, this by no means made it a "bad" smoke, it was a great smoke, just not in my alley. I'd suggest checking this stick out if you enjoy a peppery flavor as this definitely had a pepper kick to it. Cigar lived up to its name, was very creamy and peppery, so how can you argue when they work. Thanks again!
