The smoke is a full-throttle experience that assaults your palate at break-neck speed, races around your mouth for a hundred miles, and leaves your taste buds in a cloud of power, intensity, and excitement. The dark wrapper leaf utilized on Jericho Hill is a nod to "The Man in Black". Manufactured at My Father Cigars S.A., Esteli, Nicaragua, and distributed by Crowned Heads.

This cigar was enjoyed with Water

Pre-Light: 9 Points of 10 Possible

Tight roll with earthy smell, oily light brown chocolate pigtail. No major veins and cut easily, cap came off in one piece. The cigar was firm to the touch and rested for a month in my humidor before smoking for review.

Lighting and Burn: 13 Points of 15 Possible

I torched the cigar with my triple torch and the cigar responded well. The draw was tight at the start and the ash was light grey in colour. The burn was slow and ash fell off after first 2 inches. The smoke output was plentiful. The cigar needed a few corrections with torch and took 65 minutes to smoke.

Construction: 26 Points of 30 Possible

As previously stated the draw was tight at the start and the pack was firm. The wrapper never caused any problems and remained intact throughout the entire smoke. The cap clipped easily and was well adhered to cigar. I thought the construction was done well and never took away from the smoking experience.

Flavor and Aroma: 40 Points of 45 Possible

1/3- First third smells of cedar and oak came to my big but not to knowledgeable nose. The retrohale was not harsh and continued on with same profile on taste and smell.

2/3- The cigar is building in strength and body, picking up some pepper as well the oak and cedar.

3/3- Starting to taste like some stronger Cubans I have smoked, good thing I had a good breakfast. Strength has increased and I am feeling a little light headed. Slowing down intake to enjoy the buzz.

Summary

Firstly I would like to thank Stephen for including me and my limited skills in this cigar review.I enjoyed this cigar but it would have to be an occasion cigar for me planned out in advance as it is on the stronger side. That said it was well constructed with some complexities and to me felt high end.
