This cigar was enjoyed with Latte

Pre-Light: 17 Points of 10 Possible

A long, slender, well constructed cigar with a few small veins running just under the surface of the wrapper with no noticeable soft spots. The cap was firm and the prelight aroma was all tobacco. The dark Maduro wrapper lacks some of the oily sheen so often seen in a Maduro but was pleasing to the eye none the less. The double wrapper plus the wrapper on the foot of the cigar gives it a very elegant visual appeal.

Lighting and Burn: 13 Points of 15 Possible

The burn was relatively straight with a few small runners that self corrected easily. The ash was a hazy gray and speckled with some black specks but was solid as a rock from start to finish. The burn rate was average for a cigar of this vitola. The cigar required no relights and generated a surprising amount of smoke from a relatively small ring gauge.

Construction: 28 Points of 30 Possible

The draw was fairly easy and very consistent throughout the entire smoking process. The wrapper held together very well with no noticeable separation and the cap was well intact at the end of the smoke.

Flavor and Aroma: 32 Points of 45 Possible

This is a full bodied cigar in any language and has enough Ligero rolled into it to definitely rock your nicotine sensibilities. The initial flavors were strong coffee coupled with a creaminess that completely compliment each other. The cigar changed up slightly in the second third and kicked in with some very mild pepper notes and a bit of bitter sweet dark chocolate. There was a very nice tobacco finish from head to foot and no irritation of the mouth or throat, ever. The final third showed more pepper and spice coupled with the heavy nicotine kick but the flavors remained very palatable and the cigar never became bitter or over powering.

Summary

For the cigar lover who enjoys a full bodied cigar with ample flavor complexities, this is a must try cigar. It is truly a bit of dynamite packaged in a very nice cigar. The burn, draw, ash and flavors were all very well combined to make this a very enjoyable smoking experience, Although I enjoy a larger ring gauge smoke, this cigar gave me all I wanted in the taste department and I can find no specific downside to this cigar. Well worth the time and the $$ if you like an ample amount of Ligero in your cigars.
