Two renowned masters of the cigar industry, Ernesto Perez-Carrillo and Oscar Valladares, have united their expertise and passion to create an exceptional cigar that embodies the perfect harmony of craftsmanship and innovation. This collaboration marks a significant milestone in the world of premium cigars, bringing together the artistry and distinctive styles of two celebrated visionaries. Both are enthusiastic about working with Copan tobaccos from Honduras.
Pre light: Toro shape, medium brown wrapper, soft but not spongy, not a strong aroma mostly because I have my nose broken 5 times losing hockey fights. A few small lumps and bumps but nothing to detract from nice visual appearance of the review stick
Lighting and Burn: 14 Points of 15 Possible
Cut with guillotine cutter and lit with triple torch ,pack was tight with first visual inspection, draw is excellent with tons of smoke right away grey and white ash. Ash held on for first 2 inches, burns like a well rolled high end cigar.
Construction: 28 Points of 30 Possible
This is a very well made cigar. The cigar is not tight or loose but really firm in regards to construction. The cigar draw is easy without having to work at it, still lots of smoke and burns slow. This was a pleasure to smoke, and in my uneducated opinion, very well made.
Flavor and Aroma: 40 Points of 45 Possible
This is the part of the review I always struggle with as I have very simple tastes. I usually just like it or not but here it goes. I think I can smell and taste some cedar and farther along a little bit of nice warm leather smell. It's pretty cool to think this cigar is being reviewed by 4 other dudes from all over North America. In my opinion it's not hard or to strong like a Randy Johnson or soft or weak like Phil Niekro but smooth like a Pedro Martinez. The only drawback was a couple of re-lights.
Summary
In conclusion I would like to very much thank my East Coast enabling cigar friend Stephen for the educational cigar experience, I enjoy this cigar with some nice Canadian whisky on a beautiful day on the very west of Canada. I liked it!
