This cigar was enjoyed with Sprite

Pre-Light: 5 Points of 10 Possible

The wrapper was dry, veiny, and had an earthy leather smell to the cigar.  I took the paper band off the cigar, and although it was not stuck to the cigar wrapper, the wrapper went to shambles. When I cut the cap, the wrapper pretty much fell off the cigar.

Lighting and Burn: 8 Points of 15 Possible

The cigar lit well, and burned well, with a large volume of smoke. No relights needed, but the burn rate was fairly fast. After the first inch though, the wrapper wouldn't stay on, and I pulled it off, so the rest of the cigar was only the innards of the cigar.

Construction: 2 Points of 30 Possible

I have never had a cigar that was constructed worse in 25 years of smoking cigars!

From the get go, the wrapper was falling of the cigar. The only thing holding it on the innards of the cigar was the band and the cap. When the band was taken off, the wrapper went to shambles, and when the cap was cut, it pretty much fell off. The cigar had some long leaves on the outside of the rolled bundle of what was left of the cigar, but after I started smoking the cigar, the short filler was getting all in my mouth when I tried to puff on the cigar.  I smoked it down to the last inch or so, but by that time, there was about a 1/2" of short filler that was not in the cigar on the head end of the cigar, and the long filler leaves were just pretty much folding over the end of the cigar and I was puffing smoke through them.

I have had some bad Gurkha cigars that had some piss poor wrapper leaf jobs because they were so thin, but this is the worst one I have ever seen in all my years of smoking! The wrapper leaf just pretty much fell apart!

Flavor and Aroma: 30 Points of 45 Possible

The cigar was a medium strength cigar I would call it.

Pre-light draw was peppery, nutty, earthy, leather

First third, packed some pepper to start, as well as some leather, earth, and smooth smoke.

The rest of the cigar had pretty much the same flavor to it, other than the pepper was not there. So pretty much just leather, earthy, with lots of volume of pretty smooth velvety smoke.

No bitterness, burning, sharpness, or anything like that, just fairly one dimensional.

Summary

If I could show pictures of this cigar, I took 5 or 6. This thing just fell apart on me trying to smoke it. I've had some bad construction cigars in my days, but this one takes the cake! Hopefully everyone else's wasn't like this! Otis, thanks for offering up the cigar for us to do a review on! If everyone else' was like mine, Bob de Goede needs to go back to the Albanian mines!
