This cigar was enjoyed with Iced Tea

Pre-Light: 9 Points of 10 Possible

Wrapper looks dry with a few small veins. Cap is applied very good to the slightly firm body of the cigar. Aroma is very light tobacco with a bit of woods with a hint of baking spice. Cap took my x cut with my Palio V cutter very well and cigar has perfect amount of resistance.

Lighting and Burn: 10 Points of 15 Possible

Cigars lights up well and burn is very straight, ash is holding up well until I "tap that ash" off. Smoke volume has picked up a bit and this cigar is smoking great. Second 1/2 the burn wandered a bit most likely due to the wrapper issues.

Construction: 18 Points of 30 Possible

Construction is very good with just enough resistance on draw for my liking. The "tail" off the head is a nice touch. Unfortunately when I removed the band the wrapper underneath was in pretty rough shape and was coming apart and this got worse as I smoked thru it.

Flavor and Aroma: 40 Points of 45 Possible

1/2: First few puffs are flavors of light tobacco , coffee and earth. Flavors are fairly mild starting off with a hint of spice on retrohale. Spice picks up a bit partway into first half, this cigar is really picking up of some of the flavors intensify.

2/2: Shortly into the second half when I pulled off the band the wrapper showed a lot of signs of damage and started affecting the burn. Spices pick up quite a bit in the second half and this is a good tasting smoke.

Summary

First off, thanks to Otis for including me in the review of a cigar I had never even heard of yet. This cigar started out very good and I had high hopes but once I got into the wrapper issues and burn problems the excitement wore off a bit. I will most likely give this cigar a try again in the future as I think without the problems with the wrapper this will be a great stick that definitely deserves another shot.
