This cigar was enjoyed with Water with lime.

Pre-Light: 19 Points of 10 Possible

Slightly rough texture. Some veining.  Pleasant mild-to medium aroma with a slight sweet spice scent to it.  Unremarkable band.  Just a slightly oily wrapper.  Medium brown in color.  Firm cigar. 16 days in my humidor at 65% humidity.

Lighting and Burn: 12 Points of 15 Possible

The cigar lit just fine.  I used a two flame torch lighter.  It had a slight uneven burn and needed an occasional touch up.  Held its ash for 1.5 inches.  Ash was white.  Medium amount of bluish white smoke.  One hour and 20 minutes to smoke it.

Construction: 26 Points of 30 Possible

I used a punch on the cigar.  Draw was good. After about 1/3 in the draw it got a little tight due to saliva on the cap.  I clipped the cigar at that point and the draw was fine throughout the rest of the cigar.  Even firmness throughout the entire cigar.

Flavor and Aroma: 27 Points of 45 Possible

The cigar has a pleasant aroma.  The pre-light draw tasted of dark chocolate.  This is a medium strength cigar.  In the first half inch I was getting dark chocolate flavor, some spice and quite a bit of bitter flavor.  I slowed down my rate of smoking the cigar.  The bitterness went away, and did not return until near the last inch.  The bitterness at the end was not as bad as right in the beginning.  The flavor didn't seem to change very much throughout the cigar, but did not get boring.  I found the cigar enjoyable from a half an inch in until an inch left.  As with many cigars, I enjoyed the middle third the most.  During that third the flavors settled in nicely and it was the smoothest third of the cigar.

Summary

All in all a pretty good cigar.  I will give it a 3.5 when I review it in the cigar database.  I don't think I would go out of my way to get more of these, but I would smoke more if I had them.  I think the price will ultimately dictate if I would recommend this cigar or not.
