"A wisely chosen cigar to me, is like a weapon against certain of life's torments, in some mysterious way, a little blue smoke chases them away." -Zino Davidoff

This cigar was enjoyed with Water
Pre-Light: 18 Points of 10 Possible
This is a great looking cigar. The wrapper is dark brown and smooth with no major veins. The band is a piece of artwork and offsets nicely with the color of the cigar. It seems like it is constructed well: the bunch is firm, the cap is cleanly applied, and there are no noticeable seams. The prelight aroma is rich and earthy, and the cold draw adds a slight bite of black pepper.
Lighting and Burn: 13 Points of 15 Possible
With the exception of a slightly wavy burn line in the first inch, the cigar performed almost perfectly. The draw was open, allowing a healthy amount of smoke with each puff. Each salt and pepper ash held for at least an inch before they fell in solid clumps. In addition, no re-lights were required, and it burned for almost an hour.
Construction: 28 Points of 30 Possible
As mentioned before, there was very little wrong with the construction. It is a very well-made cigar with no soft spots and a solid bunch. The roll is seamless and the wrapper smooth. It is also consistent in color from head to foot.
Flavor and Aroma: 28 Points of 45 Possible
1/2 - Opened with a rich woodsy flavor with a dry, peppery finish. Around an inch in, the pepper faded, and there was a nice addition of coffee. It was remarkably smooth with a full flavor and medium-body.
2/2 - As I reached the last third, the coffee transitioned to espresso. The finish remained dry, and I was glad to have a beverage handy. There was also a flavor that was hard to place, although it was acidic in nature. It wasn't bad and added some complexity. There was really no build in intensity as I would have expected from this size.
Summary
Overall, this was a good cigar, one I would rate four stars on the normal CG scale. The construction was near flawless and the flavor was good, although I expected it to be more complex. All in all, I would smoke another depending on the price point.
