This cigar was enjoyed with Brooklyn Double Chocolate Stout

Pre-Light: 16 Points of 10 Possible

Slightly firm and a tad more on the drier side, but by no means dried out.  A very light aroma, especially considering the the Colorado wrapper.  Not veiny.  Cut easily.  It felt good in my hands and rolled in my fingers very easily.

Lighting and Burn: 14 Points of 15 Possible

Almost flawless.  Very steady and even burn.  No need to relight at all.  Easy and smooth in lighting with a light grey and darker speckled ash.  Medium-thick smoke (the one knock as i would have preferred it a bit thicker).

Construction: 28 Points of 30 Possible

On the tighter side of normal draw.  Sturdy wrapper with a thick, hardened cap.  No breakdown at all and drew true and straight until the very nub.  No struggles at all.  The wrapper stayed intact throughout the smoke and felt strong even at the ends.

Flavor and Aroma: 30 Points of 45 Possible

Rich and earthy for the first third.  Smooth in flavor with no bitterness at the start.  Very easy on the tongue and throat.  Second third tasted more like 90% bittersweet dark chocolate with earthy undertones.  However, the last third became even more bitter, at times too bitter.  Earthiness still present.

Summary

All in all, a pretty good smoke.  If you want a more maduro-like flavor with a "lighter shade" of cigar construction and characteristics, this is the cigar for you.  I prefer my cigars stronger all around, but I would smoke this again with no problem!
