This cigar was enjoyed with Water

Pre-Light: 19 Points of 10 Possible

This cigar is a specimen. The wrapper is oily and smooth and the cigar is extra solid when squeezed. I thought this might create a problem with the draw, but it didn't seem to be a problem at all. The cigar clipped easily and cleanly. The aroma was sweet and had a nice cedary character as well.

Lighting and Burn: 12 Points of 15 Possible

The burn was pretty good overall, but it began on a slant and while it self corrected for the most part, it was a bit unbalanced all the way through.  The ash held on strong for at least 1 1/2 inches. While the cigar provided tons of smoke, it seemed to burn a bit fast for it's density.

Construction: 25 Points of 30 Possible

The construction of the cigar was great. The draw was excellent with a slight tug needed, but not too much of one. The wrapper was rolled flawlessly and the cap was very neat as well.  I was afraid the draw would be extremely tight or plugged based on the density, but it was just fine.

Flavor and Aroma: 32 Points of 45 Possible

The flavor and aroma were great. The flavors tended to be on the woodsy side with some nice sweet leathery notes. There was also a bit of coffee flavor as well as aroma. The cigar tended to be on the medium bodied side, but did pick up to slightly more toward the end.

Summary

Overall, this was a great cigar with a flavor and aroma profile right up my alley. While it did not vary significantly from start to finish, it was dynamic enough to keep me interested throughout. My only issues with the cigar were the uneven burn and speed of the burn.
