This cigar was enjoyed with Diet Pepsi

Pre-Light: 19 Points of 10 Possible

The cigar is very well constructed. It had avery nice looking Habana wrapper that had an oily appearance. It was relatively smooth except one part of the cigar where the tobacco bunched a bit. It clipped easily and had an easy pre-light draw. The aroma of the cigar wasn't so obvious to me and it was a little bit light in feel but still solidly packed.

Lighting and Burn: 12 Points of 15 Possible

The cigar lights and burns like a dream. The ash is mostly light grey in color and holds very well. I like the volumes of smoke that the cigar gives off with an easy draw. I did have to leave the cigar a couple of times during the smoke but it didn't go out which is excellent. It also burned fairly slowly but I did have one problem about halfway through the cigar. A hotspot developed but the cigar did recover on its own. No touchups were required.

Construction: 26 Points of 30 Possible

The construction appeared to be excellent. The draw was nice and easy with a slow burn. Again the only problem I had with the cigar was a hotspot but it didn't cause a problem as the cigar corrected itself and otherwise had a razor sharp burnline.

Flavor and Aroma: 30 Points of 45 Possible

This is fairly light in body and strength to me. It does have flavor though but flavors seem to be more nuances than smack-you-in-the-face obvious.

First 1/3: The cigar starts with some light flavors that aren't very appearant at first but pleasant. It really tastes mostly like a Cuban cigar to me with its flavors and clean aftertaste. There is no spice or pepper that I would feel on my tongue which is fine for the first cigar of the day.

Middle 1/3: The flavor is starting to change a bit with some sweetness coming out. For a light cigar it does have some flavor. The cigar puts out a lot of smoke and the aroma is very pleasant. I didn't have to take a sip of my drink until halfway through the cigar which is pretty good for me.

Last 1/3: Now the sweetness is gone and some pepper joined the party. I would have really liked some of this flavor earlier in the cigar but was not to be. I have a nice coating of peppery goodness on my throat now but it is not overpowering at all.

Summary

This is a very good light cigar. Great for a morning or early afternoon smoke. This was not the first smoke of this cigar for me nor will it be the last. I wish it had a bit more punch but it has a time and place for smoking. I have and will continue to recommend this cigar for those people who like a more mild cigar.
