This cigar was enjoyed with Diet Pepsi

Pre-Light: 19 Points of 10 Possible

The cigar has near perfect construction. It has a nice looking Habano wrapper that had a small vein. It smelled great pre-light. It cut pretty easily with a dual guillotine and had an open draw. The cigar had some good heft from good packing and no soft spots.

Lighting and Burn: 12 Points of 15 Possible

The cigar burnt very well overall. I did have one burn issue in the beginning that required a touchup. After that the burn was razor sharp. The cigar burned a little bit slower than average. The ash holds very well. The initial ash held for half of the cigar before falling off and had a really nice looking salt and pepper color. With the nice draw the cigar also produces boutiful smoke that smells very nice.

Construction: 30 Points of 30 Possible

The construction of the cigar is immaculate. It is firmly packed and slightly heavy in feel. The wrapper is very smooth and the cigar has no soft spots at all. The cap is done well and hold to a clip with no issues whatsoever. The draw is easy but no too easy to let the cigar burn too hot. All in all perfect construction for me.

Flavor and Aroma: 29 Points of 45 Possible

This seems to be a medium cigar in both body and strength. The cigar starts out a bit harsh with some pepper and spice on the back of the throat. After about an inch the cigar settled down to a nice woodsy, earthy smoke with a hint of spice on the back end. At this point the cigar is very enjoyable. In the middle a bit of leater showed up. The cigar has become more of a full flavor cigar but still mild/medium in strength.

Summary

The cigar is well-made, tasty and very enjoyable. Above all that it is a tremendous value for what you get in the cigar. You should be able to find this cigar in a B&M for under $6 but tastes and performs like a cigar that could easily sell at a $8-9 range. It is well worth a try.
