This cigar was enjoyed with Brandy
Pre-Light: 18 Points of 10 Possible
This cigar has a nice reddish hue to it. It has a matte finish and a few small veins are present. The band is attractive and the head holds up well to a V-cut. The spicey aroma tingles in my nose, which I liked. I would say this stick is quite firm and the dry draw is a touch tight.
Lighting and Burn: 13 Points of 15 Possible
The lighting came off without any issues and the burn was even throughout producing a strong holding ash that broke off in big chunks. Though this stick burned cool, it pumped out a little less smoke than I would prefer. No re-lights were needed.
Construction: 22 Points of 30 Possible
Great all around construction other than a slightly tight draw that seemed to cut down on some of the volume of smoke, although not enough to spoil the experience. The cap held up perfectly for the entire smoke.
Flavor and Aroma: 30 Points of 45 Possible
The initial flavors of this cigar were great: some toasted woodsy tastes were present along with the smoothness of cream and a slightly sweet finish. Red Pepper highlights popped in and out over the second third and for the last third a rich leathery taste takes over for the home stretch.
Summary
Overall a very good smoke with some decent complexity and from what I've heard, it also comes with a reasonable price tag. This is one that I would definitely keep in the inventory. Thanks for the cigar Dennis, it was a real pleasure to smoke.
