Description: Humidor time: 5 days Humidimeter reading: Head - 44, foot - 34 Appearance and construction: A couple minor veins, a light sheen, and a moderately soft pack with no soft spots... Gave it a single shallow V-cut and PLD was open. (8/10) Flavor: PLA gave a faint whiff of tobacco. The light gave a medium/full profile with a very spicy retro and notes of wood, spice, and something like red pepper. The spice in the nose faded after a few puffs while not vanishing completely and the other flavors mellowed only slightly, otherwise staying consistent through the remainder. Very tasty, overall, and about the most full-flavored habano blend I've had in quite awhile with loads of spice in the mix. Strength was about medium. (32/35) Smoking characteristics: The light produced an easy draw, good smoke volume, and an even burn to start. The burn stayed even through the first third with the ash falling at 1 1/4" leaving a cone. Things were then uneventful down to the nub with draw and smoke output remaining optimal throughout. This was a fast-burning stick, clocking in at well under an hour from light to nub. (19/20) Overall impression: This one came from Privada CC as one of their test blends for this month. Apart from the fact it was all over with way too fast, it was a great smoke with great flavors and excellent construction and I'd vote for it becoming a regular production blend, although they definitely ought to tighten up the pack and make it last longer.
