A great little lounge in Long Beach. They have a very impressive seating area with TV's and wifi. Great place to hide away and get some work done while enjoying a cigar. Pricing on the cigars is a little steep here, so be forewarned.

Tobacco Republic (Loomis, California, United States)      Submitted by mountedshriner 01/25/2009 06:02 AM
Very intimate establishment tucked away in downtown Loomis. The owner is constantly sponsoring cigar events w/reps and owners of the better known cigar companies. There are frequent BBQ's in the parking lot associated w/these events and every employee I have ever dealt with has been extremely knowledgeable. Although you aren't going to get "internet pricing" you will get great service and a staff that gives great customer service. The inventory is quite extensive w/a great "walk in" humidor that smells like heaven. The store is just off of I-80 about 5 miles east of Roseville (Loomis exit). Highly recommended.

Churchill's Fine Cigars (Naples, California, United States)      Submitted by Samhain2000 08/03/2009 11:00 AM
More than just a cigar shop, Churchill's is a smoking sanctuary that offers the same comforts you would expect from a world-class resort spa. Owners Michael, Tala, and Lisa Hirschberg are near fanatical in their approach to customer service which often includes a complimentary beverage with your cigar purchase. In addition to a well-stocked, walk-in humidor which features many hard to find brands such as Fuente and Padron, patrons can enjoy a cup of coffee or cappucino, get their shoes shined by Rodrigo (a.k.a. Senor Jefe), watch sporting events on their two color televisions, surf the internet, or simply browse through an extensive magazine selection in a reclining barber shop chair. When special events, such as the Super Bowl, come around the Hirschberg family steps it up a notch and spoils their guests with catered BBQ and other delicasies. No wonder the Long Beach Press Telegram selected Churchill's as its top cigar shop for 1997. Attention residents....if the sounds of "Yeah, baby" fill the air during the evening hours and you are tempted to call the police department, don't bother....chances are they're at Churchill's enjoying themselves and chanting this all too familiar phrase (and deservedly so).

The Classic Q Billiards and Sports Club (Newport Beach, California, United States)      Submitted by mb2456 06/06/2011 01:20 PM
¦9 Billiard Tables
¦Dart Boards
The Classic Q is a sports bar, dinning, billiards and outdoor patio establishment.  They have billiard tables (9), dart boards, and 53 HD Plasma TV's setup inside and out.  Their outside patio is cigar friendly and a friend and I recently enjoyed beers, nachos and the Boston-Yankees ballgame on Sunday afternoon.  Newport Beach in So Cal usually has pretty good weather and the outdoor patio is great for those times you want to enjoy a smoke a beer and watch your favorite teams play.  As this is California, smoking is only allowed in the outdoors patio.

Maxamar Cigars (Orange, California, United States)      Submitted by Mvilla888 05/22/2012 03:50 PM
Made a quick stop into Maxamar while in Anaheim on business (recommended by Joel B).  Seating for 10-12 available in the shop, with a number of BOTL in attendance when I walked into the shop.  Was welcomed by a couple of gentlemen sitting in the shop with offers of assistance if I needed it. Headed into one of the largest humidors I've ever walked into.  Wandered around for a few minutes getting the lay of the land, then picked up a couple of Gurkhas and Olivias for the evening.  Retail $ was not oppressive, and since they were going on the expense report as dinner, was not much of a concern.  Also picked up a 3-finger case to transport them, which they threw in for free at the counter.
Will try and go back sometime in the future to settle back for a smoke....and some more 'dinner'.

Maxamar Cigars (Orange, California, United States)      Submitted by 1029henry 02/06/2013 12:45 PM
This place used to be a cigar bar before the People's Republic of California banned serving drinks in cigar bars. No booze anymore. Extensive selection of cigars, from dog rockets to Davidoffs, and everything in between. Walk-in humidor is kept very cold, and very, very humid. Every cigar I've smoked there had burn problems due to the extremely high humidity. Furniture and decor is beat up. Although the owner is a friendly guy, this place has certainly seen better days.
