Empire Cigars: The Vault (apex, North Carolina, United States)      Submitted by gcbright 10/09/2014 07:39 AM
Nice store with a very large lounge and an outdoor patio.  The selection is very good, but the depth of stock is not often the best.  Which might prove frustrating to people who buy boxes instead of singles.

Casablanca Cigar Bar (Asheville, North Carolina, United States)      Submitted by Olddog 05/07/2017 07:22 PM
New bar/store, only open since March 2017.  Bar requires membership (day membership available).  Wide selection of cigars in a beautiful walk-in humidor. Friendly staff to help you out.

Bruce's Pipe Shop (Asheville, North Carolina, United States)      Submitted by Turboknat 01/13/2010 03:52 PM
This shop is in an old Victorian style home.  Nice humidor with a good cigar selection, and lots of pipe and  pipe tobacco.  There is plenty of seating; actually there are two seating rooms there, with friendly mountain folk puffing away there.  They do offer soft drinks and snacks for sale.  Just reminds you of an "old school" cigar and pipe shop.

B & B Tobacconists (Bruce's Pipe Shop) (Asheville, North Carolina, United States)      Submitted by Turboknat 12/05/2009 04:20 PM
Nice old school shop, with lots of old cigar boing and many items sent back from troops overseas that they have supported. Very comfortable and wlcoming oldtimers there. Worth the visit.

JR Cigars - Burlington (Burlington, North Carolina, United States)      Submitted by MacMac 11/08/2016 12:05 AM
Massive selection of cigars. The location claims to be the largest cigar store in the country.  There is also a good selection of humidors and accessories. The seating area is large and very nice. The location has various events throughout the year including the "Smokin In the Carolinas" - a large cigar event with food, beer, cigars, vendors, etc.

Villa Antonio (Charlotte, North Carolina, United States)      Submitted by bslatner 04/21/2008 07:17 PM
My favorite restaurant in all the world. Excellent food, cigar friendly, and the best bartender in Charlotte. The eponymous Antonio and his wife Laura are two wonderfully nice folks.

If you go on Thursday night, it's half-price cigar night. Which basically means "retail price" cigar night. But they also have half-priced martinis and two-for-one bar appetizers (try the Italian sausage!) on that same night, so bring a crowd with you.

Tinder Box Cigars at Overstreet Mall (Charlotte, North Carolina, United States)      Submitted by dougiewong 03/04/2012 07:13 AM
A nice small shop in downtown Charlotte. The staff and other customers are friendly. It's not the easiest place to find as it's not on the first floor or street facing. Has a walk in humidor with a good selection a couple of chairs to sit and enjoy your smoke.

The Tinderbox-Southpark (Charlotte, North Carolina, United States)      Submitted by Turboknat 04/08/2008 08:10 PM
This establishment has been in Charlotte forever.  It has a nice humidor, a knowledgable staff, a nicely stocked storeroom, and a comfortable lounge area.  Lounge chairs, a chess set, dominoes set, plenty of magazines, and a group of regulars provide the setting for the lounge.  They serve coffee there, and have softdrinks for sale.  The regulars know each other so well they have formed a local cigar club called Club Puros, which meets monthly at the Tinderbox.

The Tinderbox-Arboretum (Charlotte, North Carolina, United States)      Submitted by Turboknat 04/08/2008 08:15 PM
Well, this shop is owned by the same guy, Craig Cass, that owns The Tinderbox-Southpark.  The lounge, shop and humidor appear a little smaller than the Southpark store, but the staff is just as friendly and they do have a nice selection of cigars.  The lounge is comfortable and many of the people that visit the Southpark store also frequent this store.  Very nice place.

Corolla Wine, Cigar & Gourmet (Corolla, North Carolina, United States)      Submitted by mhuss 04/07/2008 11:50 PM
This is a store that I visit each and every time I'm visiting the Outer Banks.  But by looking at their website and the video contained on the homepage, this place has definitely changed since I was last there in the summer of 2005.  When I was there, it was merely a cigar and tobacco shop.  Now, evidentially it has turned into quite a gourmet shop, with offerings of fine wine and handcrafted and imported beer, in addition to the existing walk-in humidor with a great selection of cigars.  It seems like it is now definitely a one-stop stop for all things enjoyable and relaxing.  It was a great shop when I visited it last, but now it seems to be an even better one now.  Just like always, I'll be visiting TimBuck II for my smokes while on the Banks.

Whiskey (Durham, North Carolina, United States)      Submitted by CrazyK 10/26/2011 07:48 PM
I went to Whiskey on the recommendation of a friend and I instantly fell in love with the place. It is dark, there are leather chairs and couches everywhere, a tin ceiling and various taxidermied animal heads on the walls. And the best part is the bar. OMG, the bar. I challenge anyone to find a better selection of whiskies, be they Bourbons, Scotches, or whatever. They have it all it seems. It took me well over 10 minutes to select from the list. It was awesome! And the bar staff there really know their stuff. Their selection of cigars is not the best, but no cutting fee if you bring your own. If you are in the Triangle area, it is well worth a visit.

Tinder Box - Durham (Durham, North Carolina, United States)      Submitted by CrazyK 10/26/2011 08:05 PM
This is a pretty typical Tinder Box mall location. They had a great selection for most any price range the last time I went (2 years ago). I bought a lot of stock from them over the years, and they always treated me well. They have a nice walk-in humidor packed to the brim. Nice place to grab a cigar before going to Whiskey bar in downtown Durham(see my review).

Sam's Quik Shop (Durham, North Carolina, United States)      Submitted by CrazyK 10/26/2011 07:58 PM
I was in Durham looking for a cigar and my friend took me to this heavenly place. Walk in the door, and the rep from one of the local breweries "made" me try a couple samples of his beer. Not bad. They have a decent selection of cigars with about 12 feet of wall humidors, but the beer selection was out of this world. It was nuts. I mean really nuts. I went in for a couple cigars and left with 150$ of beer and 2 cigars. It doesn't look like much more than a gas station from the outside, but that is just to keep the snobs away...

Bull City Cigars (Durham, North Carolina, United States)      Submitted by Murphy223 08/29/2018 01:09 PM
Cool little place - Small selection of Amendola Family Cigars of various sizes but well stocked Humidor.   Very friendly staff
