Title: New Mexico Pinon Coffee
Post by: FNA on 02/07/2012 08:54 AM
A "flavored" coffee made with "wild"  pinon nuts - essentially like pine nuts or pignoli.

Made with unidentified source "high altitude" Arabica coffee.

Berry-like flavors dominate in this brew.

Produced by the New Mexico Pinon Coffee Company

Sounds interesting.  Might have to give it a try.

When I was growing up in the San Luis Valley of Colorado, pinon nuts were more popular than peanuts for snacking. Never thought about using them in coffee though. Must have been the "artistes" (artsy-fartsy, spooky-kooky) crowd down around Taos or Sante Fe that thought this one up.
