I met my brother at a B&M the other day, because I owed him some $ for cigars he picked up for me. Well, he landed up owing me $ by time we were done. Got a box of L40's, some Short Story maduro's, 858's (maduro's or sun growns?), and a couple Work of Art maduro's. We got the 6 Undercrown belicoso's for free! It seems like every time we meet at this shop, we land up finding something rare. We've stumbled upon some FFP's and Opus X in the past.

I bought the top two at the Quarry Market Club Humidor: 255 E Basse Rd, #546, San Antonio, TX
The bottom three were purchased from the Universal City location of C.I.G.A.R.: 121 W Wright Blvd,, Universal City, TX 78148
I doubt there are any T-52's left--both I bought came out of the last box they had. All of the others should still be around and readily available from other stores, as well (excluding the Puro d'Oro, which has to come from an authorized Davidoff dealer like Club Humidor).

Bought a 5'er of TAA 2012 from my brother, he gave me a Cromagnon, got a corona double LP no. 9, and a regular Mummy box. Also picked up a CAO Concert, Illusione MK, and 2 Oliva Melanio's. I smoked the L'Antelier while I was there and boy was it a really good smoke. I'll be picking up a few more of these.

Had a great time over at Truly Cigars tonight with some great folks and good food. Of course there were a couple good deals on the Camachos so I couldn't resist this sampler box for $64. Especially since it came with another hat, scorpion pin, and a raffle ticket for a bottle of bourbon. Hope I win that bottle of Bullit!

Really? Good to know. They seem rather pricey when comparing run of the mill sticks against online prices. Is $18.79 a fair price for an Alec Bradley Fine & Rare?
QuoteBogglor - 11/4/2013 4:28 PM Ouch, KMan. I know how much that hurts at Holt's. Ahhh, city prices. :D
Well this was at the store in the Northeast, but still. I can't complain too much though, it's the only place around that sold any of those sticks.

QuoteThe Burn Ward - 11/20/2013 5:51 PMQuoteCaveman Steve - 11/20/2013 5:24 PMI discovered them a while back while looking for cigar blogs. I looked into the company and found out they had to change the name because of some copyright infringement. So the "Inception" band is rare. I also read a lot of rave reviews on different blogs. So I picked some up and ended up getting one with original band and some with the new Jaimus Vu band. However I have yet to smoke one. They are pricey as well. I'll be sure to review one as soon as I smoke it.QuoteThe Burn Ward - 11/20/2013 4:35 PM Nice selections! This cigar is filled with 100% Columbian Corojo tobacco, offering the aficionado a rich smoking experience. This stogie, when left in a humidor (http://www.seriouscigars.com/Travel-Humidors_Humidification_list) the recommended length of time (a couple of weeks), lights quickly and stays lit. If not left in the humidor, a couple of minor touch-ups may be required. The first third of Gurkha Seduction cigars produces a nice bittersweet cocoa flavor mixed with some coffee notes. This flavor is enhanced with rich earthy tones and complimented by some nice baking spices, with cinnamon being the strongest. There are also hints of vanilla and aged rum. It has the feel of a decadent dessert cigar, one that is to be enjoyed slowly. The second third of the smoke tends to lay off the spices and bring the cocoa and coffee flavors to the front lines. Sneaking in at this point is a hint of caramel with the spiciness returning in the last third. The finale is that of true earthy tones with nice spices to include pepper. Though the flavor changes throughout the smoke, the spice never dies out completely. This is a very flavorful smoke as noted by the reviews. The draw on this stogie was said to be firm yet smooth with the burn time anywhere from 35 – 40 minutes. It stays lit even when put down and left alone for a few minutes. The ash is a nice light color of grey and a nimble texture withholding about a half inch before dropping off.
Gurkha Seduction cigars offer a full body of rich flavor, combined with an overall excellent smoking experience. It is mild enough to be enjoyed on a daily basis. With its rich sweetness coupled with a nice earthy, spicy flavor, the cigar is a mellow and savory smoking experience. This is said to be a mouthwatering experience, leaving the aficionado anticipating the next time they will be able to indulge in this gem.

This latest “Blend from the Vault” combines select Central American tobaccos, but with an unusual addition. According to President Charlie Toraño, “My father and I discovered a rare Pennsylvania leaf, while on a 1998 tobacco trip. Extensive experimentation revealed it to be an excellent enhancement to the filler tobaccos in Blend D-042 which we recorded in the blend book in 2004. The Pennsylvania tobacco’s flavor perfectly balanced the Nicaraguan filler combination. The original blend had a Sumatra Ecuadorian wrapper which was a popular choice at the time and widely available. In making some small adjustments to the original blend, we added a Habano Ecuadorian wrapper and the result was impressive. Blend D-042 is a powerful smoke, but with long and lingering sweet spice notes, it is very rounded and flavorful. It’s a fitting addition to our Vault line, complementing our runaway top-seller and widely distributed Vault Blend A-008.”

I went through 3 trays of FF Opus X 2009 DAS coffins and found some cracked ones. I asked the tobacconist who was working what they did with the busted cigars and they said they return them to the manufacturer and get reimbursed. I know it doesn't work like that but that's what his boss told him. I went through the entire humidor and found countless busted cigars, I then asked if they remove damaged cigars and he said he goes through there once a week and takes them out. Obviously someone doesn't pay much attention to what they have on the shelves.

So basically a lot of talk and blatantly obvious no action. That sucks. At my tobacconist, when he sees one he says "o I will have to smoke it". Takes it out and lights up. I never see a busted up cigar there. Makes me confident to keep with his shop. He did that with a siglo the other day...

Falto Dos Banderas Lanceros & Ballibo Edición Especial "Galleros" Coronas plus some more My Father Selecion Oscuros to replenish my supply.......
Well, I picked up 9 boxes of cigars while visiting with Luis Falto. 5 are already in the mail to Geeks and two are awaiting delivery at my local B&M. One more box came in the mail and I am awaiting two more to be delivered soon.......
I did receive a few cigars as a gift from Luis since he was so pleased with the reviews we did for him that I failed to show in the previous pic so here they are.......

Bought a box of Burn's by RP so I could get some raffle & food tickets and rather than take the free cigars and leather cigar holder I talked the rep outta this nice ashtray for the living room table. My friend David (FX150) showed up and dropped a nice mini bomb on me (in the ashtray) and I scored two wins outta five tickets for swag!! Also won a couple Nish Patel Thunders which I promptly gave away......

I happened upon a little run down B&M, stopped in to see what they had in stock, got to talking to the nice fellow who runs the place. After a little chat he offered me a peek into his personal walk in humidor in the back room. :-0
I ended up walking out of the shop $425 poorer, but ended up with some jewels.
Pepin rolled Padilla Signature '32 OSCURO 5er, LGD Small Batch #2 5er, Camacho Liberty '09 Box.

Hi!
My names Ted,
and I'm an addict.
I went to a local Ashton Symmetry release event. All I wanted was a couple of the new sticks. This is what I bought...
I was very happy. They even threw in a couple baby VSG as bodyguards (as well as a free LADC EE I smoked on site). Then I saw this guy...
OK. Not so bad. I have his little brother at home who is probably lonely. Not too bad a splurge.
Then I saw the poor children. Won't anyone think of the children? Fuente did. Thus enabling my addiction even more. Allowing me to rationalize overspending way too much.

Yes. I am an addict. But I helped some kids today. Right?

Today's haul comes from Tobacco World where a 16th anniversary party was in full swing. I had to come home for a break but, plan to return at 6:00 for the auction and dinner. :dancing:
Meanwhile, Sean Hardiman the rep from La Flor Dominicana informed me he had found a few Diademas from 2010 under the table where their display is and pointed these out to me. Notice the nice color on the one box that was out of the cello. Of course I had to take two!
Also present was Oscar Rodriguez from GTO Cigars who was kind enough to share one of his barber pole cigars with me so I felt I needed to purchase a couple others as well.
And last but, not least Sean Williams was pushing the Hermandad Costa Fuerte and urged me to give these a try. Glad he did because it was a fine smoke! That's why one is missing in the picture.........

Quotebigjohn20081983 - 8/14/2015 6:40 PM Nice choices Fran. Jackal picked up a box of those finger traps so he maybe able to give you some more information on them. Which B&m was it I know you come up to J-ville some.
The box purchase was actually what inspired me to try one. They looked so interesting and when I saw it in my local shop I couldn't pass it up. It was a B&M here in Central Florida, Old Times Cigars. I'll be up in Jax for the next semester though, on the 22nd.
Quotebigjohn20081983 - 8/14/2015 6:53 PM Cool. Here is this database information on them not much to go by however. http://www.cigargeeks.com/index.php?action=cigars;area=showcig;cigar_id=103046&t=MoyaRuiz_Cigars_The_Chinese_Finger_Trap and the CI information was not much better http://www.cigarsinternational.com/mobile/cigars/95752/moyaruiz-the-chinese-finger-trap/ Seems they are keeping there mouths shut on these for some reason.
Thanks for the info, I'm not sure why its a secret. I'll do a review on it when I smoke one.

I saw your Perdomo pack, but can you list what you got up the hill from the sauna? Other than the Acids.
