Has anyone every ordered anything from primewholesale.com?

I ran across this site earlier, and they had a box of 25 Liga Undercrown Corona Vivas for just $98.98 + $20 shipping.

That seems to be like $50-60 cheaper than most places.

Was wondering if this place was legit or not.

Was just looking at other boxes of cigars they have, and they have some that are almost half the price of other online retailers.

Famous sells the Oliva Cain F 550 Cigars box of 24 for $145.99, and on the wholesale site that box is $87.11.

Seems too good to be true.

Seems like they are in stock to me. I went all the way to checkout, and never tried to stop me. I didn't place an order though.

And CrazyK, I would definitely split a box with you, but I'm super tight on cash right now due to blowing my budget out of the water while on vacation last week, lol.

Not to mention that you can get your cigars and condoms all in the same place....it's too good to be true!

My offer to split a box of Corona Viva still stands! I don't think they ship to Canada...

I called them and was unable to get a person on the phone either through sales or customer service...after being on hold on both lines for a few minutes it automatically asks you to leave a message.

So, I placed an order online anyway to see what's what's. The form asked for age verification with the last 4 digits of a social security number, which I don't have being that I am not American. I entered the last 4 digits of my social insurance number, which is the Canadian equal.

The order went through and a confirmation email has been sent to me. Now we will wait and see how this all turns out. By the way, I ordered a box of Undercrown Robustos for $99...too bad on the $20 shipping, but for a test I was willing to eat it. If all goes well the next order will be $500 and free shipping

p.s. keep in mind that The Monster had boxes of 25 Undercrown Robustos on for $4.30 each inc free shipping about a month ago...keep your eyes peeled.

Their shipping form does offer the choice of which province to ship to as well as different countries.

man they do have some incredible prices! just looked at the whole list of cigars in their stock and now i am really interested to hear how they work out

I received a call from them this morning returning my call from yesterday. I just wanted to confirm that everything was good and to let them know that I was not a business and asked if that would be a problem. They said no, they do deal with the public as long as you pay the $20 shipping and the package was ready to be shipped. So, everything was good to go...and then I cancelled my order.

The reason I cancelled the order was because their sister site tobaccogeneral.com has the Robusto Undercrowns for $116 instead of $100. However, after spending $120 at tobaccogeneral.com you get free shipping. So I ordered the Undercrowns from there and added a stainless steel $5 cutter to the mix and end up getting the box of cigars and a cutter for $120....where as it was costing me $120 for just the cigars on the other site.

Note: only the robusto undercrown is a lower price at tobaccogeneral.com, all other sizes are much higher priced than primewholesale.com.

Seems all legit to me.

Damn.  Just bought a box of Short Stories and a box of Oliva Connies from CBId.  Both are almost $10 cheaper and would have been free shipping.  Definitely adding to my list of stores, curious to hear your final appraisal after delivery.

Now I gotta try and see how bad Canadian shipping is!!

You guys have got me interested.  Here's a nice comparison on a box of Jaime Garcia Belicosos:

So even the "non-wholesale" site blows the others away.  Their prices for the JG's are almost at auction site prices.

I've spent a ton of $$$ at CBid the last two months.  I think that's  about to come to a screeching halt.  CBid may still have better deals on  freefall though.  They also have a better selection of 5 pks and  accessories, but box prices are definitely better at TG, especially when  you factor in the free shipping.  Will still watch, but the weekly  shipments are going to end!

But here's something to think about. Since you say all you have is a bunch of $5 sticks, don't you think there are a lot of other people out there who only have a bunch of $5 sticks, and would love to get some more as a surprise gift?

I'm with the others on that one, Ted.  I have humidors full of $5 (and less) cigars.  I'm no high-roller.  But getting and sending bombs is, well, the bomb.  Getting a box in the mail is like being a kid at Christmas.  And as you get to know the fellas on the site, you'll know what they like.   You can send out much-appreciated cigars that are not high dollar.

That makes sense.  I try paying attention to a lot of the discussions, but honestly, I still run to the database to look up most of them!  Once I learn a little more I think I'd be more open.

There used to be a lot of bombs flying around and the Rich got a yeast infection and got al bitchy about them so we stickied a thread even though there was already a subforum. Now there aren't as many because gratitude is not as prominently displayed. I imagine most don't even check the sticky now...

When I arrived home to find nothing here I checked the tracking which said the package was left at 1:15.

That was at 1:25!

  When I called Fed Ex they said they would talk with the driver after his route. I also contacted PrimeWholesale.com to let them know I had not received my package and that fed Ex said it was delivered 10 minutes earlier. I have only had one package mis-delivered in my twenty years at this location and the person that received it was kind enough to bring it over that evening. None of my neighbors were home when I got here so there wasn't anyone to confirm that the driver even stopped by. I shall give them until tomorrow and then I shall dispute the charge and let Mastercard and PrimeWholesale.com fight it out.

I do not think any fault lies with Primewholesale.com though. They obviously sent something but, if you're gonna send Fed Ex and charge me $20 you better require a signature next time!

Meanwhile, I am not too happy......... :angry:

Disappointing yes but, not such a big deal since, I can always order more.

What gets me is the ten minute rip off possibility. I live on a dead end with nothing but cul-de-sacs on adjoining streets for a mile. There were no cars coming out of the sub-division when I entered, nor was there any Fed Ex truck but, IF, I was the one and only delivery in the sub-division, I can understand that. But, for someone to wait for the delivery and the truck to leave and get out of the neighborhood in ten minutes is hauling azz.

I am trying not to let things like this upset me any longer though....... Life is too short to be a grumpy old man so I am drinking instead and enjoying a cigar!

That bites,hope they figure it out/compensate you for it.....I can't wait til I'm old...I will be the most foul mouthed,pissed off person this world has ever seen...and I can get away with it cause of my age!.

 Fed Ex made the driver retrace her route to find out where the heck she left my package and lo and behold it was still on the porch two streets over! This is the second time Fed Ex has delivered to the wrong street! (maybe they should try hiring folks that can read) I am just glad I do not have to wait for some dumb claim to go through or to dispute the charge on my card.  :biggrin:

Just for fun, I just spoke with Drew Estate to find out my "cost" on the Liga Privada Undercrown Corona Vivas, I wouldn't even break even at the price they are posting. They buy in such bulk and get so many "free" cigars, they are becoming the Wal-Marts of the cigar industry.

Don't get me wrong, that's what makes this country great. BUT, I can only imagine how difficult it is going to get for the B&Ms! Support your local B&Ms, and occasionally, CigarStix  :shy:

 I buy about $50 from my local guy when I get over the bridge that way. its just hard to pay 8 bucks for a 2 dollar cigar every day. i'm stocking up for the internet sales tax hammer to drop right now.

I'm with you, Brad.  I buy online.  But it's tough to walk into primewholesale.com, sit in a leather chair, enjoy a cigar, and chat with the fellas.  You have to support the local guy too.

I try to spread the wealth as much as I can. Since my favorite B&M is only a few hundred yards away they get the majority of my trade. I dropped $80 in there at the last event....... I think I still got the better deal though.......... :biggrin:

I will buy some boxes from this web site, but I spend $20-$50 in my local B&M every week.

I can live with that :)

Cigars arrived today....started out with Fed Ex...and ended up with USPS. I guess that is why it took a full 7 day week to get here. The shipping was free so I am happy.  :biggrin:
