Prime Cigar Company, 18900 West Bluemound Road, Brookfield Wisconsin, is hosting the only Midwest Isabela Miami cigar tasting event Saturday April 18th 2009 from 1-5 pm. Prime Cigar Company was picked due to the size and atmosphere, the largest store/bar/lounge of its size and calibre in the midwest !!

To build excitement for the event and get the word out, Isabela Miami is offering free Isabela sample packs to the lucky "Cigar Geeks" who email their mail info to us between April 5 thru April 8th 2009 !!

Just so I understand, we don't have to go to the event, because that would be impossible for me.  All we have to do is subscribe to their mailing list basically.  But we do have to wait until the 5th and not after the 8th.  If that is the case I'll do it.

I just got my Padilla Burberrys, Le Herencia Cubana Salomons, some assorted Hoyos, and now some free Isabelas. I'm having trouble waiting for them to normalize in the humidor.  :-0  :-0

Thanks for the huge effort to get them out.  Unfortuantely, they haven't arrived yet.  But then again, you only sent them out a couple days ago.  I'll be keeping my eye on my mailbox until they do get here.  And when they do, I'll let ya know.

I got my Isabela package in the mail today!  I got three sticks, with two robustos and a torpedo.  They look fantastic.  I can't wait to try them.  I may actually smoke one of the robustos right away this evening, as I grill-up some dinner.  But then again, I might want to be a little patient and let them rest for a little while.  Oh crap, what a decision!   :confused:

I got mine.  They sent me two great looking cigars.  One is a Robusto and a big Esplendido.  I am letting them rest in my humi right now.  I will write a review after I smoke one.  Thanks Isabela.

Yeah, I'm quoting myself in my own reply!   :rolleyes:   Anyway, I went through with it and smoked a robusto this evening while grilling some beatiful salmon on the grill.  I will post my review very shortly.

I got mine today too.  They seemed to have arrived in smoking condition but I put it away for a few days just to be sure.  They seem pretty densely packed.  I am looking forward to smoking them.

That's what I thought, too:  "Maybe I could smoke one today!"  And I did.  If you read my review of the robusto, it was a little disappointing.  I was hoping for a little more.  Maybe some time in the humi will cure it and round it out a bit.  But then again, I really didn't want John to have to wait that long for some reviews and opinions of his cigars.  But with some rest and a little TLC, those reviews could be better.

I still dont have mine yet.  :-(

I just got mine. I'm torn between letting them rest and smoking one first thing tomorrow. They really did an excellent job with this; I'm extremely impressed.  :cheers:

Mine was quite fresh and whatever construction problems there were, were minor. My biggest regret was that the Esplendido burned faster than I had anticipated, something I attributed to not-so-tight packing. That gets down to personal expectations. Maybe mine were naive, unreasonable, impractical or trivial.

I plan on letting mine settle for a while in the humidor.

Simple question, what strength are these, Medium, Medium-Full or Full?

I also received my two cigars yesterday. As is my policy for any cigar that arrives through the mail or parcel service, I will let them nap in my humidor for a least 30 days.

I thought the cigar was properly aged. My misgivings are different and are addessed in my review.

I saw your review, and I also thought that my cigar was packed lightly.  I looked at the esplendido, and that one seems more firmly packed, but in a more moderate range.  
I am not ready to smoke the esplendido yet.  I don't have enough time.  That cigar is the biggest one in my humidor.  About how long will it take me to smoke that thing?

I am hoping to try one today...finally, as long as it warms up enough. The temp is hovering around freezing still and it's just not comfortable enough to smoke at leisure.

I'm glad to hear that you enjoyed yours, I was getting a bit worried with some of the other reviews.  Just goes to show you that everyone has different tastes.  I hope to smoke mine sometime this week.

Holy Moly- a good review-we were getting worried to, but it just shows whats great about cigars and the culture in general !! Variations in palates and taste leads us to continualy strive to create a better and more varied panoply of producs-Keep it up guys !!  :shades:

There's a box at the bottom of the reply screen labled "Attach a file after posting".  Check that and when you hit the Submit button another screen will appear wherein you can attach a file or photo.  Photo has to meet certain size limits though.  After you attach your file hit the Submit button and hopefully the picture or whatever will appear in your message.

There's another way too but I haven't played with it yet.

I sent the first email on the 5th like everybody else.  Have sent an additional email and PM to John since.  I guess the unicorn and the honest politician smoked mine while they were delivering lowpro's.
