So I recently posted that I updated my virtual humidor and I know that you guys were thinking "So, how can I profit from this information?" Well, now I'm going to tell you how. This is the guess the value of my humidor contest. The tricky part is that some of the values are specials (probably most of them), passes are valued at retail price (Not MSRP, whatever that is) usually from CI or Famous and some are valued at B&M prices if that is what I paid. Some are rounded and some may even be wrong but I absolve myself of any liability if someone mathematically proves that my valuation is wrong. There are a couple of sticks that are from blind passes that have a value of 0 because I don't know what they are, they are just labeled with initials. Remember that it is number of sticks x price.
Why are I doing this? Because I'm wasted and I love you guys! But seriously, since I won Hotstuff's contest, I figure I have an obligation to pay it forward, plus it should be fun. The one who comes closest to the number wins. In the event of a tie the person who guessed under the amount will be the winner. Please round your guesses to the nearest dollar. The contest will close at 11:59 PM on Monday. Winner will be announced Tuesday morning.
The prize is the lowpro 5 pack Sampler:
1- 5 Vegas Miami Churchill
1 - RP 1990 Vintage Toro
1 - Sol Cubano Cuban Cabinet Robusto
1 - TNT Alt Padron Anniversary
1 - Perdomo Edicion De Silvio Robusto
Also, I believe that my prices are hidden from view, if there is any glitch and they are not hidden I would expect you guys to be honest and let me know. There can only be one winner. Good luck, fellas.
Ummmmmmmm, thats alot of math for me, I'm about half too...
$327
My Magic 8-Ball says $386.40 :cigarman:
This sounds like fun...I'll have to get my calculator out for it though. One time on a group trip to Sicily, 38 of us got on a giant scale for weighing crates of lemons. At the end of the day we had to guess how much we all weighed together. I nailed it exactly right and I'm hoping to have some of that same luck here.
Thanks for the contest!!
Great contest and that Silvio is a great prize! I think you're somewhere up in the $500 range.
-Paul
My guess is $350. Thanks!
Thanks for giving us a shot at the sampler.
Put me down for $405.
this is like the Price is Right CigarGeeks Style... Bob I bid $1
But really I think it's $420
I have no idea and I hate to do math so I'm going to guess blind here and just hope for the best.

If it's much below that, you got some great deals, by my calculations.

2 more hours left.
is anyone close dont give names
is anyone close dont give names
I'm not saying anything in case there are more guesses.
Do we only get one guess
I'm going to shoot out there with $309.
almost time :cigarman: good luck all
Yeah....I am still working on the final figure
Hurry Pete Dont miss out
Wait do you have inside INFO :?:
Okay...my guess is $570.
Even though I think it is closer to $600 I am only going a buck over Eddie's bid. I did spend a fair bit of time adding them all up and there is more than meets the eye in that bunch. I think a lazy shopper could have easily spent 675 Plus on that lot.
I think Lowpro went o bed and is going to leave us hanging until the morning
He did say he was half in the bag...
Time is up, but he said he would announce the winner tuesday morning, so we'll have to wait.
Edit: I'm assuming he meant 11 PM eastern time, since he is in PA.

What else is new on this site this time of night! Look out, I'm drinking a few myself this evening after work! :singing:
My calculated value was 638 dollars. Which I believe would make JunglePete the winner! Can someone verify that just to make sure I didn't miss someone's guess? Most people came in really low, which made me thing some people never got to page 2 or you guys think I'm some sort of cigar shopping genius.

Yeah, I figured it was north of $600 but applied some discounts. The CCs make it tricky. Congratulations!
Rich said closest without going over, so I underbid a bit on purpose. Still, I figure he got some deals on the more expensive sticks in the box (such as Ashton ESG and FFOX) so I deliberatly undervalued those.
Congrats Pete on the win! Maybe you should look into a career as a claims adjuster for cigar losses
Congrats Pete. :cheer: Let me know how to get you your prize. I know sometimes you have issues getting packages being in Canada.
A couple of things. I figured someone would have just taken 5 dollars a stick and multiplied it by 138 and came up with a value that would have been 52 buck higher, that would have been the winner in this case. Pete's bid was 58 dollars off. I never said you couldn't go over, just in the event of a tie the winner would be the under. So if someone guessed 640 and 636, the 636 would be the winner. It was as much art as science in any case, like I said, if I couldn't remember what I paid I just valued things at retail. Hope you guys had fun, I had fun watching all the guesses come in. Congrats to Pete again.
 That was fun! Thanks!
I'll PM you my mailing address.
When I added them all up my exact figure came out to 675.00 If anyone would have gone with 5x138 = 690, I would have stuck closer to 650.00
That was generous of you to offer the contest and fun to participate in. Thanks again!
Congrats Pete.
Thanks Rich for putting together this contest.
