Is it a completely offline draft? Or a live draft where the offline managers get picks off of their pre-ranked list? I ask because I'd do a live draft, but I hate the process of pre-ranking a list for an autodraft.

Head to Head is much more fun (trash talk with the guy you are playing that week), plus only having one lineup to set per week keeps it fair for those that don't have time for daily lineup changes.

I moved Miggy up to 1 after looking at points. Point-wise it makes sense, since he should get more TB and RBIs and less Ks. He'll lose some points for SBs, but not as much as he should gain. Most other formats I'd say Trout gives you a nice uptick in SBs.
I didn't think it would matter, since I had a 1 in 12 chance, but guess it did. Not going to complain about getting Miggy. :biggrin:
And my pitching is downright awful... so I'm in a reverse boat.

I have absolutely no f#$king idea as to what I am doing when looking at my lineup!! This ain't anything like FF. Am I supposed to put pitchers in and out daily, depending on when they start? yes you have to change your line up each day if you choose to.. There is a Manage DL link near the top of your team i believe. That is the only way to add someone to the DL

I tried to use the DL, but it does not seem to be activated for our league. I will try again. Every day...oh boy!! Who do I send my cigars to?? :biggrin:
I was able to move a player to the DL, but had to move the bench first. I wish we had more DL slots. These guys get injured regularly and with 25 players more than like you could have multiple DLs at any one time.

You can only put a player on the DL that is actually on the MLB DL. It will have a note to the side that says DL15 of DL60.
THe only thing with pitchers you have to do is you get 12 starts a week. It shows PP by the pitcher (probable starter) so you know that morning it is their day. You don't have to switch every day by any means.
Would anyone be against me adding an extra DL slot? I think I can still do that.
I think 2-3 DL spots would be great.

Chuck, I will check, but I am pretty sure rosters lock at first pitch each day. So you can move people right up until gametime, and keep previous points during the week. That make sense?

The points accumulate daily for those that are on the active roster playing positions those points are saved and added to the next days total and so on. So yes if you bench a player you will only not score points for the day he was benched.
I really used to be really deep into baseball. Had a subscription to Baseball America and read it cover to cover. This has been really good for getting back into the players.
Just so you guys know, there is a smartphone app for ESPN Fantasy Baseball. Pretty handy for roster changes and such, for those of you worried about finding the time.

I had to release a catcher yesterday going on DL, because I had a good SP on the DL already. Hope I can get us another slot.

yes its rough because i have 3 guys on the DL as well...
Michael there may not be anything they or you can do because it probably locked with the start of the year.

I'm still struggling to overcome Autodraft's thought that I would not want a legitimate starting pitcher on my roster except for a guy who is on the DL. Streaming in spot starts has not been pleasant.
Looks like it is the last week before the playoffs guys. Been a fun year! I really enjoyed it, and learned a few tweaks for next year that should help make it better, namely more DL spots haha.

i really backed into the playoffs also. I started the season strong then faded. Had too many on the DL at time my bench was like a MASH unit.

this was my first fantasy BB season and enjoyed it. Perhaps next year, since we all ahve a season under our belts, we can change it up a bit. I know in other leagues there is more day to day control over rosters. For example maybe only 1/2 of the pitching staff is active and you need to pay more attention to who is starting.
But it has been great fun

Agreed Chuck. This was my first time running and hadn't even played a league in a while, so there are definitely a few tweaks I will make for next year. DL options for sure. We will certainly have some discussion before the draft to finalize some things, but glad everyone enjoyed, as I would really like to run one again next year.

This community is patient and forgiving. Earning negative feedback is very difficult to do, but they deserve it.
As you noted, the rating can always be changed if they show up again and make good on their commitment.
Agree with the comments already... I guess moving forward need to make sure the folks that are in the league are active and stay active.
Maybe next year we can send our 10 pks in at the beginning of the season and the moderator can send out the winnings at the end of the season. Seeing a picture of the stack of winnings may have given me a push during the long summer.
