I've been a member here for over 5 years, but I don't post all that much. It takes 6000 posts to make Guru ( and 720 days as a registered user, but I'm already way over that).
I'm within 25 posts of reaching that coveted milestone. I started this thread to pad my post count and get up to the magic number. :-)

The Guru of Les is More.
QuoteBrlesq - 5/30/2014 11:52 AM Well damn, Les, its about time! Shouldn't you make this into a contest? I'll take 6/8/14, 7:30 am EST!
I was considering it, but nah. thanks for playing, though.
Quotetoby2 - 5/30/2014 11:44 AM very cool. will you take on a Guru name after you pass over?
I'll leave the naming up to you guys.
In fact, that would be a better contest than the date I make it to guru, thanks for the idea!
Quotebenchjockey - 5/30/2014 11:46 AM Might as well take advantage of your (almost) Guru status, Les. What are some brands--I favor maduro and toro vitolas--that don't require a long resting period?
As I mentioned above, i like to rest my smokes for a while, at least a year.
There are some cigars I like right off the truck (ROTT), but i don't really keep track of them because I rarely smoke one that way (unless I don't have any with me and someone offers me one).
the only one I had lately that comes to mind is Ramon Bueso Genesis, which is a maduro. I enjoyed one of these recently with just a week or so of rest, and it was good.
other than that, I guess it depends on what you like.
Quotentanner - 5/30/2014 12:22 PM An early congratulations on becoming a Guru. It's probably going to take me a couple more years to get enough post's so you are a good example for us less chatty folk's. Maybe the Guru of rest and less chat.
I just started a contest thread! Guru of ___________ (fill in the blank).
honestly, in most cases the guys here offer plenty of input on nearly every subject that comes up, and I usually feel that I just don't have anything valuable to add (although that doesn't stop most cigar geeks from commenting anyway :-) ).
For no particular reason, here are some pics of me smoking cigars:

Honestly, I wish you posted more - you have a lot of great input. Also, your flurry of posts last night had me :lmao: . Although that wasn't last night for you. Were libations involved?
No drinking was involved, I was stone sober! That was Friday night. I'm usually league bowling on Friday nights, but we pre-bowled, so i was off. Enjoyed a Friday night off for a change.
Then the weekend came up and I was busy (our riding Saturday, bike maintenance on Sunday).
