Brad, I wanted all of the vets to be in my upcoming pass and if everyone is scattered out in other passes they might not want to play. That is why I wanted to wait. I may throw a pole up though. The last one went super and I want this one to be just as good if not better.

A member starts a pass. People jump all over him for starting a pass even though he has never posted and ask him to introduce himself. People seem to like the idea and there is a bunch of interest. The pass creator is off the site for 24-36 hours, then he comes back to introduce himself. In the meantime, a new pass is created with the same exact theme. The original pass creator, who came up with the idea, requests to join and he isn't allowed because he is a newbie.
I'm not one to create drama, but that doesn't seem quite right. In a PM, he offered to change his pass to be Dominican themed (and he may still do that) since the Nicaraguan idea was now taken. However, if it were me, it would have turned me off this site, never to return.
And just so there are no hard feelings toward him, he hasn't complained one bit and did not ask me to post this. He's actually been very patient, IMHO.

If someone can vouch for this new member I would be more than happy to let him join the pass. When I was new, I had to have 100 plus points to join a pass like this or have someone vouch for me(I had no one to vouch for me), I just think it is part of getting to know everyone on the site and getting to know how passes work on here. It is just like selling sticks to a new guy, you will most likely wait for him to pay you before sending him your end of the deal.
Yes he did requets to join but he did not let me know if he read the posts about how passes work here. If he did, I would have asked if anyone could vouch for him.
I do not take this personal, and I really hope he does not as well. Depending on where he is in the pass, we may have anywhere from 12 sticks to who knows how many being passed around. And knowing this group of geeks it will probably be some nice sticks.
Having said that, SparkMark please speak up, don't be shy we are all pretty laid back here. If you want to join and are willing to do your portion of the pass virtually (which means you tell me you puts and takes and we mail them to each other), I am happy to have you. If not, is there someone on the site who can vouch for you since we do not really know you.
And please, if I am being an A$$, ALWAYS CALL ME ON IT. Sometimes it takes someone telling you to realize it.

I have been watching this from the sidelines, but I'm glad that Nathan spoke up. I found it a bit unfriendly to create this on top of his pass as well, and then call it the "Real" Nicaraguan Pass, as if his wasn't real. He wasn't even a newbie because he has had an account and virtual humidor here for an entire year. He just didn't participate in the forums. We have more members that do this than we have members that post. I certainly hope he decides to shrug this off and stay active on the site.

Welcome to the Nic Pass Geeks
I have included 2 medium size tupperware containers. If one fills up just use the second. If you notice that the puck I put in for humidity is getting dry (beads will be white when dry and clear when wet), please add some distilled water. I would greatly appreciate it.
I have also included a prize pack tupperware container. At the end of the pass I might randomly select a member using a random number generator or might decide on something else. But I would like to reiterate that these cigars are NOT to be taken and are NOT for me. There is only a couple rules for the Prize Pack. The first rule will be the hardest to follow, please ONLY PUT 1 CIGAR IN HERE. The container is small and can only fit one per person.. However no one is required to put one in. If you put a cigar in the prize pack, please use a sharpie and write your name on the outside of the bag near your cigar.
If you have any question please let me know.

I'll leave this up to the geeks in the pass. I think it would be better if we do not put anything down on the put list if you put a cigar in the prize pack. Change of plans today, I was able to pick this up at the post office. Did my puts and takes. I did the virtual removal of the so called prize pack stick, I added a cigar to the prize pack, and as promised put in Boveda packs in both containers. I also filled up the puck, it was dried out.

Sorry guys. I dropped this off Friday afternoon at the local UPS store for pickup, and apparently they did not pick it up from them until today. So won't land until Thursday. 6 days for 2-Day Priority Mail. Ok-doke.
Got the pass when I got home from work tonight. Puts & Takes are complete and its transitioned to Jackal. I will send it out tomorrow morning when I head out on the bike for the weekend.
