Hey folks, so by now everybody should have ditched their fancy faux-gold trimmed analog hygrometer and switched over to a good digital hygrometer, RIGHT? Good. Well, most digital hygrometers require a little watch battery that costs between $2-4 for a couple of 'em at your local CVS, Walmart or Walgreens, if you can even find them at all. They typically last a year or two before its time to swap in a new one. So RIGHT NOW, go look at all your digital hygrometers batteries and look for the numbers and come back to this thread. If your battery is marked, 357, 303, 357A, LR44, AG13, or SR44W (depending on who manufactures it), you'll probably want to get in on this. I found a great deal on Amazon.com for 357 model button batteries and bought 200 of 'em. This thread is a battery split to help my fellow BOTLs save a little coin on your cigar accessories. Each battery costs 9.1 cents. Seriously. Yea, they're off brand and won't last a full 18-24 months like an Energizer, but at this price, who the hell cares, right?
I'm keeping 20, so that leaves 180 remaining. My shipping costs are pretty negligible, lets call it 75 cents for shipping in a padded envelope. So 10 batteries shipped would be... eh $1.65. Anybody willing to play? I DO NOT WANT FEEDBACK FOR TWENTY FIVE $1.65 TRANSACTIONS, SO DON'T LEAVE ANY! Respond to the thread below with how many you want in increments of 10.

Once I get them, I'll post a PM to everybody for payment. THANKS!
Ill take 20
Daniel, I'll take 20. Thanks for sharing.
Great idea. I'll check my hygrometers when I get home to see what kind of batteries are needed.
This might be perfect timing as I noticed one of my hygrometers was dead yesterday.
I did the same thing when I found out what they wanted for them at CVS and Wal-Mart. I found a place for button batteries and loaded up on all sizes that I use for cheap.
PM sent
Excellent deal here as I just replaced about a dozen hygros a month ago.

I'll take 20 if you still have some left... Thanks!
Thanks KM
I would take 10 if you got them available still

Can you bump me to 20. Thanks
I'll take 10 if there are any left at this point...thanks for sharing the deal
10 for $2? Yeah buddy! I'll take 10. Unless I'm confused about the price, then I have to ask the boss...
Still haven't checked my hygrometers, but I'll find a use for them even if they aren't the right size. I'll take the last 20 if they are still available.
Thanks for offering these up!
ALL DONE FOLKS! I'll send out a mass PM to everybody for payment once they arrive and I am ready to ship.

(http://www.cigargeeks.com/../images/emoticons/coolsmiley.gif) Thanks for setting us Geeks up.
Thanks for this
Hey, the UPS man dropped these off earlier than I was expecting; I have them all enveloped and will ship two tomorrow, one 10 ct and one 20 ct to figure out the costs and will blast out a PM accordingly. USPS.com says they'll be more expensive to ship than I thought, about $2.10 but we'll see. I'll just eat the difference if it comes to much more than $2 for a 10 ct.

These are cheap enough, and I wouldn't want you to eat shipping cost. I'll pay whatever USPS says.

Agreed. You did us Geeks a solid by coordinating, so you shouldn't be out of pocket any shipping costs.
Thanks again for splitting!
X3. You are doing us a favor, no need to eat any costs
I thought there was free shipping if I entered to code "Danstheman"??
Nathan - Start up a retailer thread on this guy so I can add my comments!
Seriously Dan, don't worry about the shipping cost. You are doing us all a favor.
:lmao:
Hey Dan, I'll buy a 5er off you so you can put them in a flat rate  :smoker: :?:

You git what I gives you!
Wasn't able to make it to the post office today. Waaaay busy at work, but have tomorrow off. Will PM everybody tomorrow with the final costs.
PMs went out for total cost; I've gone ahead and shipped them so if you suddenly lose your job or get into a car accident and can't pay, let me know and its no big deal.
Payment sent.

Got mine today. Now I wait for one of my hygrometers to die so I can test these out. Thanks again
I threw two into a couple of my hygrometers and they performed exactly as you'd expect.
