That is the best review you could have written for CBID.

Do entry here but shop carefully. Shipping can be slow at times. Good deals if you are watching

Have got some great deals for sure, as Chuck said shipping can be painfully slow at times, but otherwise I've had good experiences with them. They messed up my order 1 time and made it right, I kept the mistake sticks & they sent out the correct ones the next day.

Like my mind, its a dangerous place to visit...

Good deals, shipping delays, but those don't bug me at all. Ain't running out of cigars...yet!

The prices there would attract me... maybe it's a good thing (for me) they won't ship to Canada

Have used them for quite awhile but you need to know the downside of this place...know your pricing and set your price and leave it alone.  If you win that's good and if not you dodged a bullet.  Set your shipping according to what YOU want or when you want it.  Keep a file of your favorite Vendors on file with their pricing and do some comparison shopping before committing to CBID.

I use this site quite often.  You can get some great deals when you catch others sleeping, or go straight for the freefall and get what you want.  I have had mistakes and damaged shipping but one simple call to their customer support and they fixed it every time and make it right, which is top notch with me.  The only downside I see to them is the shipping time is really getting slow in the last 6 months or so which isn't a big deal because its not like these are my only cigars but they need to improve on it.  But if you order from their CI website, they always ship right away.

I'm pleased to see some positive commentary about Cigar Bid.  Just to share my experience, with a couple plus years of ordering from Cigar Bid.  No problems at all.  Shipping as been good, cigar quality is good.  Probably around 10 total orders.  In my opinion, they are an excellent resource.

I enjoy trying NEW smokes.  Like good craft beer, I can enjoy just about anything.  Quality always shows.  Cigar Bid is great for sampling, 5 packs, or even singles.  Or actual Sampler packs.

And Merchandise.  Great, as long as you don't HAVE to have it NOW.  I've gone nutso with Lighters, and Holders, and Stuff.  And I save considerably on my Boveda 12 packs.  I'm a big fan.

I still do my own research, but this is a great start. Chrome Plug-in that tracks lowest, highest, and average prices from past auctions.

As far as the shipping complaints, it is my understanding that they used to only ship cbid orders on Thursdays. Now you can set you day of the week, or set it to ship daily. I'm trying to load up this week from them, so that everything will ship this Thursday. It is cheaper to ship multiple winnings together than each separately.

I have set my shipping to one shipment a week on Tuesdays. I hope I can refrain from bidding any more this week.

The original options were Tuesday, Thursday, or after every winning bid  just recently they allowed any day, but that only came after a historic shipping melt down this summer.  So it really helps them also to pace shipments

Very addicting.  If you're not careful...you can have a hefty bill on shipping day.  In theory, I do have a "system".  Bid what you're willing to pay and leave it and don't even think about it.  End of the week, you see what you get.

But in reality, check, bid, check bid several times a day.

X 2.  When you lose, it feels good to see how far up you drove the price on the schmuck that won! :fencing:
