Gonna open up the Herf link if anyone is around
Smoked a Padron (Traditional) No. 3000. It was in my car and I forgot to bring my SS cigar. Maybe later today.
Couldn't bring myself to smoking my Secret Santa cigar from Matt today because I am still fighting a slight bout of the crud. I wanted all my taste buds on deck for that one. I still wanted to bring the New Year in right and found a Liga Privada #9 robusto as a good substitute. There just happened to be a glass of VSOP left. Still a good start to January 1 of 2015!
Started my year with an Asylum Insidious
DE Undercrown Robusto
First cigar of the year, Tatuaje La Verite 2008 Churchill smoking a pork loin for dinner. I'm in heaven.
Tatuaje Anarchy Apocalypse

Aging room f55 from my ss and now an af anejo 48 watching the second half.
Smoking an Estaban Carreras 10 anos. Great flavor, but had a burn issue. Now how I wanted to start my year :(
An ugly duckling: a "modified" Litto Gomez Diez Small Batch No. 5; it arrived broken so I tried fixing it with an Otapan Negro Último Corte wrapper from a Drew Undercrown.
I had my Santa cigar a La Flor Dominicana 2000 No. 3.
Thanks again it was a good cigar with just the right burn time for the drive I had today.
Had a LFD Reserva El Jocko for my first smoke of 2015. Great little cigar! :bigthumbs:
Fired up a CAO Flathead 642 Piston I got in Jason's Virtual Herf!

Man... I decided to transfer the bottom of an old scotch bottle into a smaller 100ml... there was just enough left over for a nice nightcap... and I was blown away... a 2011 Arran Machrie Moor, which had been stored less than half empty for over 2 years now... so I decided I had to find the right cigar to pair it with... nothing too big... nor too bold... but something that would preserve the smoky aromatics and maybe provide a counterpoint, if not an accompaniment, to the citrus-driven, oleaginous palate... how about this Montecristo Desde 1935 #4 (http://www.cigargeeks.com/index.php?action=cigars;area=showcig;cigar_id=87682) ?... excellent construction, but the draw is too tight right now, give it more time at ~69% RH... the 2013 Litto Gomez Diez Chisel Puro (http://www.cigargeeks.com/index.php?action=cigars;area=showcig;cigar_id=9730)?... just saw a not so stellar review of it in the latest Aficionado, I think they didn't give it more than 89 points... sounds intriguing, and the night is still young after all, how is my tongue though?... it will handle it if approached with finesse... or a Regius Exclusivo Lancero (http://www.cigargeeks.com/index.php?action=cigars;area=showcig;cigar_id=91272)? Seems to have a better draw... or not... now the night's not so young any more... how about a short Oliva Melanio (http://www.cigargeeks.com/index.php?action=cigars;area=showcig;cigar_id=41582)?... I'm really intrigued by the not so stellar rating of the Chisel though... and I like it on the cold draw... plus I've been really looking forward to it!... it sounds like it has a high nicotine content though, and -- I never thought I would say this, but -- I may not be up for it... what did that review say again?... do you have any milder smokes? A Davidoff Entreacto would be really nice right now... how about a Famous LGD Robusto (http://www.cigargeeks.com/index.php?action=cigars;area=showcig;cigar_id=32314)?... sounds peppery, but not for too long... hopefully it's a solid medium... let's see if the Machrie Moor can withstand some pepper...
I had a nub cafe espresso this morning with my cup of espresso as a pick me up. Enjoyed the coffee and really enjoyed the cigar even more.

Anyone here had the Latitude Zero from Oliva? I just smoked this cigar tonight and I was very impressed. It's easily my new favorite cigar. I've never been able to taste "leather, earth, coffee..." etc in a cigar, but I will say it had a unique and complex flavor unlike any cigar I've smoked. Additionally, it's been my experience that anytime I've had a cigar with a complex flavor profile, it is often overly strong or harsh for my tastes. But with this smoke I felt like it was rich in flavor but not harsh at over powering at all. I had the Robusto size, 5x52 and the damn thing lasted 2 hours. I was at the B&M and ended up have to go because the were closing, but I probably could have gotten another 15 minutes out of it. I'll definitely be buying some more of these!

I owe you big for finding that place. When I first got there I was a little concerned. It seemed a bit run down and when I went in it looked a bit that way on the inside too. I poked my head around and there was no cigar lounge to been found. So, feeling a little mislead by their website I asked the clerk who directed me through what appeared to be a stockroom and through a door in the back. It was amazing, leather chairs, big screen TV with the payoff game, fireplace, two premium beers on tap with a bucket to pitch in a few dollars per beer on the honor system, darts, a poker table, and man cave decor. I had the whole place to myself so it was just me and my friends. The owner happened to stop in and was very friendly. Made me feel very welcome. It was a very solid place.
