Title: Finally, a decent cigar event in St. Louis
Post by: JKG on 10/28/2009 03:32 PM
On November 12th "The Hill Cigar Company" is having an Ashton event featuring.... drum roll please... La Aroma de Cuba.

This B&M is located in the grand old historic "Hill" area which is home to the finest Italian restaurants in Missouri. :smoker:

Formerly known as "Dago Hill" until political correctness took hold.   Yogi Berra grew up there.

I've attended an Ashton "Taste of Excellence" event, and I had a great time.  They make some good cigars, albeit a bit pricey.  They ended up giving out an Ashton Cabinet, Ashton Aged Maduro, Evan Williams Single Barrel, and some chocolates they sell.  Not bad for a free event!

You are correct sir!  At one time people were proud to be known as residents of "Dago Hill".  Political correctness will eventually ruin our way of life.  I don't believe our founding fathers planned for PC.

Oh, I suspect there are a few people who still call it Dago Hill, and mean no ill will by it.

Last few times I was in St. Louis, I found it to be a pretty friendly place.
