I enjoy reading Blake's blog, but he has no idea on this. He's only using the historical data from 2014, which proved to be way off base on the current BTAC release.

I've started to enjoy Bourbon just in the last year and a half or so.  My palette isn't mature enough to splurge for something so expensive.  For now, I'll stick with Bulleit Bourbon for under $30 as my go to.  I really have trouble forking over $50 plus for any booze.  Who knows, that may change someday????

Well it was one of the first states to get the BTAC release a few weeks ago.  Grab a bottle if you can for around $80.  Secondary market is already $325-$400 a bottle

booze in GA is a racket. just a few companies supply the state by law and you get what they give you.

What is the BTAC? I have not heard of that one.

I think it refers to the Buffalo Trace Antique Collection.

I will have to ask the guy at my local store where the closest store that has these is. Thanks for filling me in on this.

When you can find it, I prefer Black Maple Hill to Pappy.  Pappy is good, just not going to play the ridiculous games to get a bottle of it.  BMH is just as good as Pappy, IMHO.

I had some last weekend. I mean its good, but Blantons is better. And it is very comparable to most.

I'll trade you my Blanton's for your Pappy.
