DRAFT: Live draft scheduled for Monday, Aug 29, 2016 at 9:00pm EDT.
It's almost August so figured it's time to get the league started. First I want to give everyone in the league last year a chance to rejoin first then if there are spots open I will open it up to all the Geeks. Again this year we will all be putting up 5 nice cigars ($7+) and one really nice cigar ($9+) to be given to the regular season winner. 1st place cigars will be sent to 2nd place of playoffs. Winner of the Playoffs will receive the remaining 5 packs. Again this year I think it would be easier if everyone shipped all the cigars to me and then I can send them out to the winners.
We will again try and do a Online Draft and Google Herf. I'll send out some dates when all the teams are set. I'd like to get this done by the end of July if possible. Set up draft date near end of August.

My schedule is going to make it tough to participate in any of those dates....lol
I coach football with practices on Tuesday through Thursday and I'm a scout leader with meetings on Sunday evenings...I might be able to do the Monday draft but with the 3 hr time diff it will be a challenge getting home from work in time.
If I make it, great, but I may have to be online and just count on fate to kick y'alls butts

I was trying to keep away from Saturdays as I figured most people had stuff going on and didn't want to do anything over labor day weekend. But we could probably do Monday night of labor day if everyone is agreeable as well.

draft window won't open up until about 20-30mins before the draft... I meant go to NFL.com make sure you can log on to your team. You could do a mock draft there to verify that you have everything installed that might need to be. Though should be the same as last year.

Glad they arrived
Been a weird trip thru the first half of the FF season. I play in two leagues.
In both leagues I started 0-4
The following three weeks I went 3-0 in both leagues
Week 8 was a loss in both leagues and now this week looks like a win in both.
My team is consistently inconsistent... Very frustrating week to week... Never know what is going to happen.

I know, personally, my storage space is limited. I'd rather give away better quality sticks than the stuff I smoke in a day-to-day basis which means the occasional special trip. Unfortunately, the shop by my office has had s**t for selection lately which requires even MORE time/effort. Either way, it will get done and well before the holidays.

To save on shipping, John offered everyone in our league the opportunity to send (5) nice $7+ cigars, along with one really nice $9+ cigar in to him, so that he may dole out the winnings at the end of the regular season, and when the league champion was crowned. All of the nice $7+ cigars go to the league champion at the end of the season. The really nice $9+ cigars go to the regular season champion...which happens to be The Toilet Monsters...nirab!!!
Six geeks chose not to send their cigars to John, which was offered to save all of us from having to ship to two different geeks...assuming the geek that won the regular season did not win the league championship...so let's assume not!!!
The six geeks that did not send their cigars to John sit in a position now that requires them to send (1) really nice $9+ cigar to yours truly, and the nice $7+ cigars to the eventual winner of our league championship. As for the second place cigars, I'm a bit lost on that one myself...but I hope to be required to fulfill that duty!!!

A lot of Fantasy anything comes down to luck... Which team you play in a given week, injuries, players played in a given week. So many variables.
You both had good runs this year and left the rest of us behind but that is why there is always next year!!!

Ok missed the discussion of 1st place and 2nd place cigars. The winner of the playoffs cigars are to be sent to the team they beat in the finals... If they were sent out the cigars that the winner had put up to the 2nd place team... but since not everyone sent me there cigars... If you win the playoffs you will send the fiver you were putting up to the 2nd place team... This is the whole point of giving everyone a chance to save on shipping because there are cigars sent to the regular season winner which is Nirab...

This is why I offered to make it easy on everyone else which only 6 chose to do...

I've never done the Super Bowl shuffle in this league so it's exciting to make the finals finally :smoker: I could really use the sticks this year 2 as it's been crazy and stressful as some of you know. thank you sir. it was a good season with plenty of close games. honestly, before yesterday's game, I didn't think I would pull it off. Luckily some early season picks, Dak Prescott and Ezekiel Elliott, put up some crazy numbers on my last game and got me the "W". Good game Adam and I look forward to a rematch next year ;-)
