Title: S TX Newbie
Post by: mlarryeliz on 10/25/2016 10:00 AM
Greetings, just joined the CG community.  I have enjoyed cigars for many years however recently started taking it seriously.  In fact, I already have three active humidors; small (50), medium (150), and large (400).  Like all new smokers, I am sampling as much variety as I can and, as expected, the Connecticut's have been an easy step into the hobby.  I have, however, developed an enjoyment of more flavorful medium to medium-full strength cigars.  I look forward to continued knowledge and experience.

I used to be in the oil field down that way. I'm out now thank the good Lord. I was never that far south. The furthest South I worked down there was around Tilden, Three Rivers, Cotulla, Carrizo Springs, Fowlerton areas. I know it get's to looking better down closer to Mexico in some places, but that area I was in was just the a$$ crack of TX!  Hot, flat, hot, thorns everywhere, and did I say hot? I don't think those coleechee pads we were on helped much either!

I do miss TX though, I grew up NW of Ft. Worth in Springtown. Texas will always have a place in my heart!
