Just about every year since 1987 myself and two army buddies have spent Vet's Day together. This year we went to NC, where one of us decided to retire. He chose the Meat Locker, inside the Angus Barn. It was interesting because you have to be escorted there since you have to walk through the kitchen. Once we got in we see why it's called the meat locker. It was a meat locker, re-purposed for smokers. Since they changed the smoking laws in NC (and everywhere else), smoker friendly establishments were almost wiped out. The Angus barn got creative and it paid off. After having their huge steaks, we lit up Cuaba Salomon cigars, had whiskey flowing, and the rest of the night was great. The staff (Amber) was excellent, and to the young couple that paid for our first round (unbeknownst to us) thanks a mil, we appreciate your generosity. I know our drinks hurt you...
I have to hand it to them, the concept is a great idea, and I will definitely be going back there! I highly recommend it!

Looks like a very cool place to visit! I would love to see the meat locker!
Sounds like a great time.
That place looks wonderful! Never saw a reason to go to NC but this would definitely make it worth while.
Found a video tour. Pretty cool hangout!

Next time I'm visiting my cousin I will have to try that place out
Cool place, I know that NC is tough on B&Ms. Daughter lived in Winston-Salem (The Dash) for a while. Found a place not too far from hers called Twin City Cigars. Owner was telling me woes of running a B&M there.
Very cool set up! There's nothing I want more than a good smoke after having a steak dinner. The old steakhouses here in NYC used to be like heaven
I love the Angus Barn. When I worked for Cisco I took many trips to RTP and always went there
