Hey Guys! I stumbled across this site as I was doing some research to get my first humidor up and running. I've learned all ready that I should not have placed all the cigars I bought (damn JR Auctions...I think I'm addicted to that site) into the humidor at one time. So if you haven't all ready figured it out I am new to the cigar world; but have been really enjoying different smokes the last two weeks with my bourbon/scotch in the evenings after work sitting outside braving the Florida cold. Thanks for sharing your insights.
Welcome to CG John.
I would suggest putting your cigars in a temporary storage, tupperware, coolidor or even ziplocks until you get your humidor seasoned.
